Women lost at #17 Michigan St. 3-1 to open their season...BG travels to Cincinnati tomorrow night at 7 on ESPN+. Then host Loyola Chicago Sunday at Cochrane.

The men kick off their season tomorrow night against Cleveland State at home. Also, on ESPN+. Nice.

BG comes from behind to beat Cleveland State, 3-2. Ay Zig. The women lost a very tough 1-0 match at Cincy. They played really well in the 2nd half and just couldn't get that goal.

The women's team played a great first half yesterday, scoring 2 early goals and beating Loyola Chicago, 2-0. Goals by Brynn Gardner and Katie Cox.

After defeating Detroit 2-1, BG women played at #21 Pitt today and I watched on ESPN+. We lost 5-1 but played hard. One goal was on a very suspect penalty and we just wore down at the end. Up next is Notre Dame and then tsun for begin MAC Play.

I missed it live, but I did see a Michigan player laying on the ground, a scrum happened, and then their coaches came out whining to the officials.

As far as I am concerned... they lost, they can cram it.

Men draw with DePaul Friday night, 0-0. We host Northern KY Tuesday before beginning MVC play at WMU. Falcons are now 2-1-2.

Women lost today to top 10 ND, 3-0, at Cochrane today. Thursday night, we begin MAC play at Bancroft High. BG has 3 wins and a draw vs tsun in the last 4 matches. Let's take out some frustration on the rockettes. BG now 2-4. Losses are to ranked Michigan State, Pitt and Notre Dame and at Cincy. We will be a force in the MAC. #BeatToledo

The WSOC game against ND today broke the program record for attendance at a home match, with more than 1,500 people at the game.

BG men picked up a 3-1 victory over Bradley last night. Looked like they were about to drop points after giving up a late penalty goal to Bradley and some sustained offensive pressure, but then BG responded with two late goals.

Left the football debacle at the end of the 3rd so I could go watch a team that plays hard and a coaching staff that prepares. Good match and a good win. 1-1 in MVC now. Bradley was unbeaten this year until Sat night.

BG now 4-3-2 and 1-1-0 MVC. Saturday we travel to Evansville to take on the Aces at 7pm in MVC play. GO BG!!

Women draw with WMU yesterday at Cochrane, 0:0. Now 3-4-1 and 1-0-1 in MAC play. Thursday we host Akron. GO BG!

Would have been nice to get the win, but WMU was picked second in the MAC and BG fourth in the preseason poll, so it was good to at least get one point out of that game. FWIW, Buffalo, the preseason MAC favorite and defending champs, lost at home to Ohio yesterday.

BG women with a 1-nil home win tonight against Akron! Keeps us right on Kent State's heels for 1st place. Falcons travel to Athens to meet the Bobcats Sunday.
