at #2 Michigan (9/16)
Falcons open about 40-point underdogs depending on the sportsbook this week, largest spread amongst FBS games. We obviously know this game won't be close, and outside of zero injuries what is everyone looking for? I want to see how well the offense can move the ball against a bigger and faster team. There are enough weapons on offense to put together a couple scoring drives.
I'll be at the game, first night game of the year at The Big House with their new scoreboard and lights, should be a fun atmosphere if nothing else.
Michigan wins, 49-10.

If we can score and not be shutout, that's a win.
Game is at 7:30pm on Big Ten Network.
For those that are going - enjoy the trip!

UM will be looking to get the running game untracked...although JJ McCarthy has been brilliant. Will Bazelak alone be enough to get us the upset?

I want us to play hard, even though we won't match up well with UM. National media has been kinda calling out UM and aOSU for their "weak" wins. 30-3 and 35-7. And look who comes next? Effin eh. I can see UM unloading on us or since SL is a UM guy, getting up on us and then just running the ball...since they are 76th in country in rushing.
Mrs. Freak has her HS class reunion Sat night at Quaker Steak and Lube. I'll be able to watch it and I hope we can keep it within 20-30. Just the way it is...the Ohio game is so much bigger for us. But upsets do happen....
We already beat UM in rugby TWICE (35-10 & 44-5) and men's soccer, 2-1. So they need to win at SOMETHING.
Volleyball hosts UM Friday night before heading to Ann Arbor Sunday for a return match. Hell, let's beat UM in everything this year.
My heart says 31-30 BG.
My brain says UM 52-17.
GO BG

I appreciated the respect for BG Harbaugh included in his press conference today.
My bold, likely wrong, prediction is that BG comes out hot and scores 10 or so points in the first quarter, enough to make people in the stands uneasy, but then ends up getting shut down the rest of the way. I'll go with something like 49-13.

Connor Bazalek can't get upset.
No one would ever think he wasn't going to win.

Bg wins 3-2.... in volleyball
Michigan is using two head coaches this game so I'm curious how that will look for them in both halves. It will have no impact on the game but I wonder if that changes their second half strategy

I see it being 42-10 or 42-17. I think we will cover the spread. Michigan has no desire to run up the score, as evidenced by their first two games.
Hopeful me says we are repeating Appalachian State or Toledo!

Michigan sucked that year...they don't this year. They'll win by whatever they feel like winning by. The big test is Ohio

No way BG is coming close to being competitive in this game. Maybe for a quarter. This year's Michigan team might be the best team the BGSU program has seen in a long time. They're a bona fide playoff and national championship contender. They're super well coached and fundamentally sound, not to mention the great advantage of size, skill, and speed. I actually like the approach that SL is taking this week which is the preparation for this week is really a jump start to get the team locked in for Ohio on the 23rd. Get good habits going this week, yeah the Michigan game will get ugly, but translate the good stuff over to next week and get ready for the East favorite.footballguy51 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 8:12 am I see it being 42-10 or 42-17. 45-10 with no injuries - I’d take it.
