Perhaps, but he didn't look right simply walking around during warm-ups. Fingers are crossed.
I thought it was weird that he was fully dressed for warmups, given that they have known since Thursday that he would be out.

I can’t find any updates on Demetrius Hardamon. Does anyone have any information on his condition? Sending best thoughts to him and his family.
If we can roll into MAC play with good health, this could be an entertaining season.
Loeffler didn’t have an update on Hardamon in his postgame presser. He said he’s not a doctor and couldn’t diagnose anything, but he was encouraged by DH being able to move his hands. But he also acknowledged that they knew right away that something was wrong when the hit happened.

He also said someone has a high ankle sprain. Couldn’t hear who was being asked about, but I’m assuming it was about one of Orth, Gazarek, or Bazelak. I’m pretty sure Orth had a concussion (which happened right before our 2nd FG, and was the reason we kicked instead of throwing Timo out there on 4th down for his first snap of the game), so I would assume he was referring to Baze or Gazarek.

He was also asked who would be playing at QB next week and he joked that he might have to come out of retirement for it. So… guess that’s something to monitor this week. If we see the lefty warming up, we know Ohio is screwed. Lol
I think he was talking about Gazarek when he mentioned the high ankle sprain.

As for Timo playing over Anderson last night ... is it possible the coaches want Anderson to be the guy if neither Baze nor Orth can go next week, and they didn't want to risk having Anderson get injured at U-M? I could be dead wrong, but that was one of my first thoughts when I saw that Timo was in the game. Maybe they wanted to make sure Anderson was healthy for the MAC opener?
That’s not it at all. The plan is to redshirt Anderson. He’s not some secret weapon we have in our back pocket come MAC schedule time. We were bent over a barrel last night m. Bazelak got injured Thursday in practice (appears to be his right knee, no idea how serious) and Orth got the nod. When he went down, we were F’ed. Timosciek was our emergency #3 option and there we were with him early in the 2nd quarter. It was a train wreck scenario at the QB position in a heartbeat. I went back and watched all of our offensive snaps with Orth. He was sacked a couple times but nothing that looked like anything that would have led to a concussion. It was puzzling. I think Anderson is going to be good down the road, but if both Bazelak and Orth are out be Ohio, we have zero chance at somehow pulling off a win. Bottom line is we must one of those guys under center on Saturday.
Timo gets a week of practice and anything is possible. Ohio won last year's matchup with a backup QB being put into a difficult situation. The game is winnable until it isn't.

Bazelak had a noticeable limp during pregame, and if Orth was held out due to concussion protocol, it's a good bet neither of those guys are ready for practice on Tuesday. Loeffler's media day tomorrow is going to be the most interesting one he's had since taking over here.
Ohio’s backup last year was/is CJ Harris, a scholarship QB who had been there for a few years and more importantly had played. A week of practice isn’t going to do squat to prep for Ohio and their defense. BG will likely lose no matter who plays QB, but if Bazelak and Orth are both out, we have zero chance and will get smoked. And probably shutout for that matter.

Guess the team better forfeit then.

I’m hoping this is the case as well, but I fear there’s more to it. If so, if would be beyond horrible luck - going into your most important game of the year and losing both QB’s before it.

Fair enough. Like I said, I could be dead wrong -- and I often am.

Does the rule still exist where you can play in four games & still redshirt? If so, and if Bazelak and Orth are both unavailable this weekend, I hope they play Anderson if they think he's better than Timosciek.

And if that's no longer a rule, I still hope they play Anderson if they think he's better. I don't want to burn a guy's redshirt unnecessarily, but I also want us to play the guys who give us the best chance to win a conference game. This isn't like when Blackney burnt Josh Harris's redshirt in game 9 of a season that was already lost. A lot can change between now and 2026, so if Anderson gives us a better chance to beat Ohio than Timosciek, Anderson should definitely get the nod if Bazelak and Orth can't go.

From my observations in camp, Anderson isn't ready. That was a month ago and maybe things have changed, but he struggled making reads. His only advantage is his legs. Timo is the better option. And yes, the four game redshirt rule still applies.
