If memory serves Warner altered the bowl game with an unsportsmanlike …. Or another important game last season. He is foolish.
My position on Ferguson is a matter of record. Ha

warner should sit for a week or two..or more. Ferguson should not be here at all.
Pains me to say it...but between the hair pulling, cheap shots and woofing...we look like a dirty football team. Dirty football teams are generally not winning football teams

Re: at Georgia Tech (9/30)
Like the evolving situation with the hockey program where it appears the coaches may have accommodated a bad egg because of talent, this is in the same vein. Deficiencies at OL and DB result in keeping some undisciplined guys on the roster rather than doing the right thing and telling them to buzz off.
Deion was great this week in his press conference. He was asked about a five-star recruit and why he's not seeing the field. Deion was transparent that the kid isn't putting in the work to be deserving of that opportunity. I'd be pretty miffed if I'm a reserve OL or DB that isn't playing week over week while guys like Warner & Ferguson get to start after repeated moments that hurt the team.
Coach wonders why the mindset of the team is off, perhaps he should be looking in the mirror and at his staff.

I wouldn't be shocked if we win this game. For whatever inconsistencies we have, this feels like one where we pull off a shocker just like Minnesota, Marshall, UT
Re: at Georgia Tech (9/30)
I expect this to be a pretty significant blowout. GT is a hot and cold team, but they have a ton of talent. Unless Bazelak has the game of his life, I think it's a 25+ point difference.

Inconsistencies...the same verbiage from today's Blade puff piece. Is that the buzzword for this season? We aren't bad...we're inconsistent
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: at Georgia Tech (9/30)
That's always been stupid to me. Every football team ever has good plays, bad plays, even good quarters, most even have good games.
Playing well consistently IS what makes a good team.
Re: at Georgia Tech (9/30)
I thought we’d keep the Michigan game respectable and we did. I get our track record of winning similar matchups when it is unexpected, but I see us losing this one. The qb he brought in looks terrible unless he has 7 seconds to throw.

Re: at Georgia Tech (9/30)
Briggs in the Blade has a column about the schedule...They're not making any excuses, but that schedule is "preposterous". 4 OOC games...2 were winnable, 2 are not. That's not bad

Re: at Georgia Tech (9/30)
They want to move to 3 winnable games and 1 buy games in the future. They also want to even out the schedule so we can have 6 home and 6 road games, rather than 7 on the road and 5 at home.
I think that would be a welcomed addition around here, considering 40% of our home games this season are being played on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. Adding another winnable game, AND potentially making it a home game? That would be great.
It’s the difference between:
@ Liberty
vs. Eastern Illinois
@ Michigan
@ Georgia Tech
And something like:
@ Liberty
vs. Eastern Illinois
@ Michigan
vs. UNLV
You can go 3-1 against that schedule. Plus getting a home game against a G5, rather than a road game against a P5, would be very helpful in keeping us healthy and competitive. It also means another Saturday at the Doyt, and I am here for that.

Re: at Georgia Tech (9/30)
2015 team had no issues playing three P5 teams on the road, winning two of them. 2013 had a game against Kent State on the road in Week 2, sandwiched between a home tilt with Tulsa and a road game at Indiana. The media and Loeffler can try to twist it however they want, but they certainly sound like excuses.
The next thing is that all the injuries derailed the season. It's not an excuse because it's always next man up, but no one was able to get into a rhythm. That's how the operation goes with this staff.

UNLV would cream us too..
Loeffler is making the same comments about how tough Bazelak is that he made about Matt McDonald. When you can't protect your QB...you have to hope they can play after getting clobbered each week

I'd typically agree, however we've seen many instances where they randomly look great. BG for instance was in a position where they could've beaten Liberty, and since that game Liberty has boat raced everyone they've played. Likewise until everyone started getting injured, they went toe to toe with Michigan for quite awhile.
Then things like the Ohio game happen where we make them look like Ohio State. I really have never seen something like this

Liberty’s QB couldn’t throw the ball down the field. UM played the worst game they could have and boat raced BG in the 3rd quarter before they went on cruise control. BG is going to have a chance against poorly coached teams and QBs who can’t stretch the field. That’s probably 2/3rds of the MAC.
I just don’t want to hear any BS if they win a couple games about the program is right there…they are as far away from a title as they have been since Loeffler started.
They are a head coach and offensive scheme away from being in contention.

I agree with your last sentence there. They absolutely are a head coach a good scheme away from contention. I do disagree that they are just as far away as when Loeffler started. His scheme sucks, but he has definitely increased the talent from what Jinks recruited. I'd actually argue he has recruited better than Babers did (which is saying something about his coaching considering how badly he loses).
