Swankler scored 19 of the team's 114 goals last season (17%) With him, this season BG would've had to replace 38% of goals. Without him, it's 55%.

Problem: BG did not win a single CCHA game last season when scoring fewer than 3 goals.

Social media for teams in the CCHA are ablaze with activity for this upcoming weekend. We're still stuck in the cone of silence. Sigh.

We don't know who is suspended. We don't know who our captains are. It's hard to get excited about anything.

Maybe the bartender can come back and let everyone know who the captains are. He seemed to know what happened that weekend it all went silent.

There will not be BG radio coverage for road hockey series this year - at least until further notice.

I blame TUPD for his post about a quiet offseason. 😂

Most of the other teams have decent announcers for their games.
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

CHN didn't bother ranking Bowling Green for it's CCHA preview given all the drama. Michigan Tech picked first, even before Swankler joined.

So with Eigner making the trip and dressing last night that leaves Pasanen (portal transfer) and Stjernberg (freshman) as the only two, besides Scars and Fyten, not to see any action this season. Last weekend Parker played and Evola dressed.

How could either of those two be wrapped up in this stuff? Why would a portal transfer or a freshman "haze" an upperclassman or participate in circulating a petition to have the star player booted from the team? Is part of the hazing ritual picking a freshman at random and having them join in the hazing of their fellow freshman teammates? WTF? There has to be a logical explanation for this but I'm coming up blank.

Someone posted on here that Stjernberg may have eligibility issues. Doesn't sound like he's wrapped up in the investigation. Pasanen is anyone's guess.

It's possible one of those two were the ones supposedly hazed in the "incident," and suspended as a result.

There was an article released a few weeks back where a player admitted he and another hazed Crosby on an international team. Basically wrapped him up in his mattress and taped it shut. The local high school team got in trouble 20 years ago or so for taping a freshman to a chair, naked, and sending him down the elevator in a hotel on a trip to Chicago. Without details, it's impossible to even guess what actually happened, but it's safe to say it's not isolated to BG. 99.99% of it is in good fun and totally harmless. That .01% are the ones that take it too far.

3-0 Augie. What's the over/under on wins this year? 7.5?
