Were due for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty

How much money would it take to pay the bus drivers to just let the entire team and staff walk home?

What a turd. I've seen enough. Can't be competitive in conference in Year 5.
Thank you, next.

Re: Beat Miami!
SL is the coach to hire when you need to build a program up from rubble. He did that.
SL is not the coach to keep when you want to be competitive in your conference again.
Hopefully, the AD sees this as clearly as we do and has already begun looking at coaching candidates to replace him. I'm willing to bet cold, hard cash that's happening.
When that's done, we'll have 3 down and one to go so far as turning over the coaches in the major sports. Three of those changes were (are) needed to elevate the overall athletic program; only women's bb was a hire necessitated because the coach moved up.

It's tough to say you've rebuilt a program when you're 0-2 against your conference opponents and they've beaten you by a combined score of 65-7. Muted the ESPN feed (got real tired of hearing the phrase "line drive pass"...WTF?) to listen to Todd and Gibby because they'll call a MF out. Gibby said something interesting (paraphrasing) ..from an alum's perspective...even if you come back and go 7-5 or 8-4 ...can you call that a success when you lose like this to Miami.
Interesting perspective...

Re: Beat Miami!
I honestly think a big chunk of it is simply playing a system that is archaic and not explosive. The system is reliant and perfect execution on the OL to either run or wait for slow developing passes. The days they execute to perfection it can sorta work, but asking for perfection is a fools errand.
We also have a very nasty habit of laying down and dying as soon as we get down a couple scores (one reason I was super happy for the GT game). Which I kinda sorta I understand since there's no way any of the players have confidence that this team is going to come from behind. Although you would have thought this week they'd have some confidence they could, but alas...

Re: Beat Miami!
Here is a question: when most coaches leave in todays portal era, there is a mass exodus with him. In this case, is there reason to believe many will stay, in hope of a coach they want to stay for? If a coaching change results in an automatic mass exodus, we are where we were when Jinks left- ground zero. Better hope new guy can spot talent, get them here. And run a simple, effective plug and play scheme.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

There it is...SL is a .500 coach at best. And that's not nearly good enough.
