Nolan Reimold Named MAC POTY & AA by Baseball America

Post by BGSU33 »

I don't think it was mentioned over on bgsufalcons, so I throw it up here, I meant to do this a few weeks ago. Nolan Reimold was named the MAC's Preseason Player of the Year by Baseball America. Reimold didn't land on Baseball America's All-America First, Secon or Third Team (Preseason), but they did list him on their 2005 All-America Team....By The Numbers which was a great mention. Reimold was also listed as the #5 top prospect out of the MAC this year during the preseason.

Baseball America picked BG to finish 4th in the MAC West. Here's how they picked the rest of the MAC:

MAC West
1. CMU
2. Ball State
3. NIU
4. BGSU
5. EMU
6. WMU
7. Toledo

MAC East
1. Miami
2. Kent State
3. Ohio
4. Akron
5. Marshall
6. Buffalo
GO BG!!!

Obviously, that should be 2005. And yes, I did see Nolan was honored by the MAC this week too. Nolan is probably a better baseball player than John is a basketball players, and that's saying a lot for both of them.
GO BG!!!

For all of you not smart enough to go to the above forementioned link, yes, he is the younger brother of John Reimold.

Wasn't a matter of "smarts", rather laziness.

thanks.

Nolan will probably be busy playing professional baseball next year. He is prediced to be drafted in the early rounds, and possibly even a 1st round pick this year.
He had 3 HR's against Findlay yesterday.

It looked like there were also a couple scouts checking Nolan out at the home opener on Weds......with 3 hr's I'd say he made a pretty good impression.
