Or ucf. They weren’t even in the MAC yet then.

I was only calling them P5 based on current status. I know things were very different then. I wasn’t even born for some of those wins. Lol

I think we should at least CONSIDER Kevin James.

Nobody gave my Dan Mullen suggestion a thought? He has a BG connection and he’s been a successful head coach in the SEC.

Globe listed Dan Mullen like five pages ago, lol. He probably makes more at the worldwide leader than BG could pay him.

Votes are rolling in. I love it.

I watched a little of Montana St and the Offense is super fun. Lots of running but creative running. His OC is from Ashland. Literally at times they will have 2 QBs in the backfield and have a RPOs in a way I have never seen. The QB will fake a hand off, roll out and if someone is open pass, if not he will run.

Anyone else? I have done a pretty thorough look at the top of FCS and included most of the names that seem reasonable. Anyone left off is around or above 60
I agree that we should probably be interested in someone who has been a head coach, but certainly some coordinators/position coaches should be considered. That enhances the list greatly. Anyone who should be considered?

3 Brian Wright HC Pittsburg St 7-0
4 Willie Simmons HC FAMU 5-1

Brian Wright is 63 years old, by the way.

The coach at Holy Cross is 46. He just signed an extension that goes into 2028, but the good news is that he's only making around $50,000 per year (if what I saw is correct). He's also taken a program that was down for a long time and turned it into a winner.

With all due respect (This is the first time I have typed that and actually meant it) I think all those things are wrong. Wright is about 51 I think. When you google his age Wikipedias says 63 but he graduated in like 94 from College. And I dont know how much Chesney is making but I think it's probably about 200-400 k.

Wright is really interesting but he is dull. I like what he said about offense. He doesn't even have a playbook. They install every week. Keep it simple and complicated off the simple.

Success at Toledo which is good. Success at Florida Atlantic which is good. Pittsburg attendance looks like it rivals ours and is d2. He seems like the kind of guy who could be here for 10 years. 3 kids so family in the same place could be important. Pittsburg is full of people from Texas and all over the country. It's not a flashy hire but I think it's probably the boring hire we would all grow to love.

A couple of FCS games that have coaches we might be interested in

Holy Cross (Chesney) vs Lafayette (Troxell)
SD State (Rogers) vs S Illinois (Hill)

Here is the top 20 update

Some notes
-Chesney is now 4-3. I assume that ship will get righted but it wouldn't make sense to fire a 4-4 coach for 4-3 coach
-I took Pete Lembo off. He makes sense but they are 2-5
-Brent Vigen and Brian Wright both look great
-Willie Simmons and Trei Oliver keep rolling
-Brennan Marion and Vince Kehres remain the top coordinator candidates.
-I am going to start doing new guys i have been adding. I think that there will be a shakeup

1 Bob Chesney HC Holy Cross 4-3
2 Brent Vigen HC Montana St 6-1
3 Brian Wright HC Pittsburg St 8-0
4 Willie Simmons HC FAMU 6-1

5 Vince Kehres DC Toledo 7-1
6 Trei Oliver HC NC Central 6-1

7 Brennan Marion OC UNLV 6-1

8 Matt Entz HC NDSU 6-2
9 Kevin Johns OC Duke 5-2

10 Brent Bolte HC Bemidji St 6-1
11 Jason Eck HC Idaho 5-2
12 Nick Hill HC S Illinois 5-2

13 Tony Annese HC Ferris St 5-2

14 Mike Uremovich HC Butler 5-3
15 Rusty Wright HC Chattanooga 6-2
16 Deland McCullough RB Notre Dame 6-2
1719 Matt Simon OC Minnesota 4-3
18 Zach Azzanni WR NYJ NFL
19 Mike Hart RB Michigan 8-0
20 Brennan Carroll OC Arizona 4-3
