Wow. Looks like Augie doesn’t think we can even play with them. They are completely dominating play and not afraid to take chances.
We don’t defend our goal and have no strategy in their zone.

I'm a cheapskate and therefore don't have Flo. I'm pretty happy with that at the moment.

Still not sure I wanna renew my subscription. I canceled it, and then they offered me a 20% discount to stay.
I can confidently say that if I do indeed stay, it’ll be because I can use that subscription to watch the Walleye play, too.

Not surprised given everything that's gone on. Would have been much easier to not play this year, fire the staff, and start over. Regardless there's no justification for keeping the staff past this season if this goes the way we all see it.

Just watched Saturday's highlights. Auguie's 3rd goal...

Hockey hasn't sent an SID with the team in years. (EDIT: I'm sure the SIDs over the last few years have gone on same-day trips to OSU, etc., with the team, and/or driven themselves to games that are relatively nearby, but with a few exceptions - the league championship games at MTU and Minnesota State and the NCAA trip to Allentown - hockey has not taken the SID on overnight trips for quite some time.)
And yes, it's going to be a long season.
Re: @Augie (10/14, 10/15)
This BGSU team could easily be in the running for the worst BGSU team in my lifetime. It’s just flat lacking talent on top of all the off the ice stuff. Go legacy and favors then get ready to rebuild.

Yeah, right. This team would be SOOOOO much better without Peter Eigner. There's plenty to bitch about, but once again we find you bitching about nothing.

Tell me about all the offers Emerson and Blake had? Which of the two goalies last night would you rather have if winning is the goal in the transfer portal era? Talent is the issue. A lack of talent. That lack of talent includes coaching talent.

Re: @Augie (10/14, 10/15)
It's obvious to all you've never seen Quinn Emerson's game. And which goalie, a freshman making his first start on the road vs. a Covid senior or Peter Eigner as the irrelevant 4th string door opener? I admit that sometimes I struggle making sense of your bitching.
It's apparent this hockey stuff is new to so you I'll graciously help you out by covering some of the basics. There's a thing called a blue line (it's actually painted right IN the ice...how cool is that!). If the attacking player crosses the blue line before the puck, it's called offsides and the teams face off at the nearest red dot (which is also painted In the ice...how do they do that??). Do you need more help understanding hockey?
If you're going to bitch, then bitch about the stuff that actually means something. Either that or take your BS back to the ball-related forums.
Edit: My gripes: The team has very little talent. The team is playing uninspired hockey. The coaching staff is <insert blah blah blah here>.

Emerson has 0 points in 4 games against two teams who essentially didn’t exist last year. Did any other school offer him or Blake?
Re: @Augie (10/14, 10/15)
Chill on Quinn. He’s as good as just about anyone else on the roster, and he plays hard. He’s the furthest thing from the issue here.
But the culture of entitlement and going through the motions and expecting to win 20 games, rolling out of bed and winning a playoff series, etc… THAT is the issue here. We need a total reset in that regard. I would expect a new staff to come in with new expectations and a championship standard. We should accept nothing less.

Wow, you can read a stat sheet. Since you're a one-trick pony I wasn't expecting this so color me impressed!
Because Quinn Emerson's dad played here the program should never have recruited him. That's the sum of your argument. And others on this board have tried in an honest fashion to educate you about the Peter Eigner "recruitment." I can only assume by extension you're elated that none of the Klee brothers played here.
All kidding aside, I get your point. It's just a dumb one. And you beat it to death. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. At this point it's just generic bitching for the sake of bitching.
I'm done. Block on.
