If BG just gives it to Stewart and doesn’t turn the ball over they should win fairly comfortably. Akron’s offense will have a tough time doing much of anything and are not explosive without Irons. This game is perfect for BG’s defense to excel.

Exactly what I was going to say. This feels like a game that should be a huge Stewart game. Don't overthink it. (they are going to overthink it)

We should easily win this game...so there's a decent chance we won't

Zips have a good defense. Force a lot of 3rd and long situations. Early downs are going to be key for the offense to have success. BG's offense is not built to recover when it gets off schedule. Plenty to feel uneasy about simply based on how up and down the Falcons are.

Weather is looking a bit wet with a stiff breeze, so I'd expect both teams to focus on the run game with a score total somewhere in the 30s.
Again, the Zips took IU into 4 OTs! Indiana would be contending in the MAC for sure. They are good by MAC standards and Akron played with them and played tough. They are far better than what they indicate in the W L columns.
I have always thought the old logo should appear permanently on the back lower portion of the helmet.

We "should" win this one, but you captured my feeling exactly..........uneasy. If we go out there and have another penalty fest, turn it over a bunch and call non-sensical plays, we could very well be on the short end.

You can’t accuse BG football of not being interesting

Which leads to them bouncing it outside for an easy TD

Stewart is the most difficult back to tackle here since Greene.

Man, their left tackle has held on at least ten plays without any calls yet. It hasn’t made a huge difference in things but it’s frustrating to watch.

Edit: he finally gets called and then immediately gives up a sack.

Pretty comical watching the defense just bringing 6 guys with no concern of getting beat because the Akron QB can’t throw the ball. Like he has a tough time getting it 2 yds past the line of scrimmage.

Everyone on this field should be fired on both teams….if this is the product they are putting out there, then they should all be looking for new careers
