I’m being sarcastic…There was a 3 week stretch in the first half of Eigner’s first year where I thought I might be wrong about the hire. The team seemed to be finishing games against decent opponents that Bergeron’s teams would just choke away. It became clear after X-Mas that year it was just a stretch of the team playing well and not an improvement in coaching.
This year’s team will win some games they shouldn’t just because it’s hockey, but even at full strength with Swankler they were likely a 4th or 5th place ceiling. In this league that shouldn’t be acceptable.

Correct. No points for non-conference games either.

The first 4 games this season looked like a team that had given up and was just going through the motions until the end of the season. Last night was a team showing some hope for a season not being completely wasted (like the school thinks they are, apparently). To play like they did, under those circumstances, shows they haven't given up. Effort like that, every night, will win some games. For as long as the school has drug this out, I think we all just want a little bit of hope for a not wasted season.
