Ball State, Buffalo, NIU has already had defections.

Significant numbers from the schools that didn't make bowl games. Surprised to see NIU's star WR enter already, though. They still have a bowl game to play. Cincinnati has had a huge number enter already. Not a surprise when you look at their season.

Coaches jump ship prior to bowl games, not surprised to see players follow suit. Renders them even more irrelevant in that context.

If we can keep this team together, we have a chance to be really, really good in the MAC next year.

Agree with most of these except I think Howell and Ferguson deserved second team. Hilaire SHOULD have been first team if they would have worked to get him the ball more. He has first team talent but they just didn’t use him enough.

A pretty good roster with another year experience and a solid portal additional or three. Like you said, though, changes will happen and I think they'll be significant. I'm guessing one of the top 2 QBs will be gone, an RB or two, plus Fannin, Oladokun and Huskey. Fannin and Huskey might get some NIL money thrown at them based on their years.

It's possible. If so, they would be smart to forego the bowl game to avoid any injury which could derail that. Perhaps we'll start seeing portal entries from BG players once the bowl is announced, but at least so far it's nice to see no one has done so yet. That is obviously going to change.

No divisions, top 2 teams playing each other in the MAC championship.

BG will still play Toledo every year as a protected rivalry, and NIU is in their pod, as well.
