My hope is that he understood this would likely always be the case since those guys had eligibility left when he came here, and he should also understand that both guys will be gone after next year, setting him up as the obvious starter in 2025.
I'd be shocked if he moves on from what I've been told.

The players should continue to be exploited by the universities and NCAA, who make billions collectively off their talents, right?
My thoughts exactly. If the money is in the sport (and it's always going to be), I prefer the players get their piece of the pie. It sucks for the BGs of the world because we don't even have a burnt edge crust to divvy up, let alone an entire pie, but that's life.

And tying college kids to the initial place they chose at 17 also seems foolish to me.

While the player movement portion is new, the haves and have nots of college football is not new. Sure, we're on lesser footing now than we were 20 yrs ago, but is it that greatly different than it was 50 yrs ago? Hell 50 yrs ago there were no roster limits at all.

An while I'm the first to say I think the MAC TV deal is a fool's game, we have benefitted as fans from this money in the sport. When I was in school we had to truck in lights to play night games. It wasn't that long ago that following a road game was the coin flip of whether you were within broadcast distance of an FM station...now I can watch the games on my cell phone while I"m in line at Cedar Point.

Good to hear. I had no insider knowledge, it was just a concern with how the game is now.

Agreed. Starting as a redshirt Sophomore sounds good to me. 3 years of eligibiligy.

With both veterans back I hope that we get a freshman QB in. The class so far is great. That's the one thing they are missing. Won't matter for 24. Will matter for 25.

If all three are here and healthy, that's a better D-line than some power 5 schools.

Loeffler teased today future announcements of players staying that were "exciting", hopefully Stewart and/or Fannin.

Not sure if I missed this but Kitione Tau is in the portal. I thought he was graduating anyway, but best of luck to him. Was a nice contributor here.

If your last name is Elsasser or Moosbrugger you get to exploit free education for the kids and in some instances roster spots. That free education comes years after termination for being terrible at the job. The still employed can exploit for additional income on the side outside the duties of the job.

Agreed. It's like a wrestling gimmick at this point. Hard not to hate it.
