See you there.
We'll be rolling into the Motor City by 11:30...and heading to the best pregame joint around. AY ZIG!!! :supz:
Question about The Old Shillelagh - is there parking on site? Friend and I that are coming up for the game are curious about going up there but we already paid for a spot at a parking garage a good 10-15 minute walk away. Curious whether we could park at the restaurant for lunch before moving the vehicle over after. Anyone that’s been, please advise!

There's a parking garage on Brush & Monroe right next to it, along with a couple surface lots.

Yeah, but those will require a double paid parking.

I'd just make the walk if you wanna go to Shillelagh. Shillelagh is a total dive, but we've always had fun there, and you'll be with some good people based on this thread. I've always been a fan of the Detroiter as well for a quality dive scene, but that's another block or two further from Ford Field.

The area right at Ford field is too commercial/corporate for my liking, so if you're already parking right there, I'd plan to hike back towards Greektown/Bricktown area for some more soul.

On your way out the Corktown area is a cool stop. The old Tiger stadium field is still there, can hang out on the same home plate and infield as Ty Cobb, Alan Trammel, etc. Slow's BBQ has always been great (but I have actually not been in several years). ANd my favorite foods in Detroit are in the Northern suburbs...some excellent authentic Asian food when you get out to the areas where auto workers live/work/travel. Obviously it's the opposite direction of home if you're coming from BG :)

Oh it's a dive to me, but I don't mean that in a negative connotation at all! I love dives. Detroiter is totally a dive too, but it's awesome.

Shillelagh is a staple. Used to take their shuttle to the Joe for Red Wings games back in the day. Lots of good memories there.

Let’s hope it never gets to this point for BGSU. If so, Moosbrugger’s kid may end up being our scholarship QB.

Let’s take a look at the current NIL policies for BGSU. Last updated in August of 2021 around when Hughes called local media in an attempt to kill NIL stories.

If you just avoid it, it’s much easier to complain about it and use it as an excuse.

This is what happens when career administrators get ahold of college athletics. It used to be most ADs were former coaches who had at least some values for what college athletics were supposed to represent. Now many ADs never even participated in college athletics. They have turned this whole thing into a clown show. Everyone just screwing each other over to the point there are no rules.

Terion is a game time decision. Probably imagine he doesn't play. Keith hasn't been practicing since he's in the portal, so it's Patterson, Johnson, Wimberley at RB for the bowl game. Sounds like the staff doesn't expect TK to return. Everyone else pretty much good to go.

Safe travels for everyone. About a half hour trip for us, so we're headed up around noon. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces.

Looks like Deshawn Jones is dressed and playing
Not sure if that means he's returning or not for 2024.
