About as bad of a start as you could imagine. Lexi went down with a non-contact knee injury about a minute into the game. Down 20-6 after the first quarter.

Just about as disastrous as it gets. Best player possibly (likely?) done for the season and you lose by 50. Man…

Crap. I love watching Lexi.
Was it the same knee as before?

Left knee. It did not look good at all. Will be a miracle if she didn't tear something significant.mbenecke wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 1:45 pmSounds like it was the other knee.Diemilkweed wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 12:13 pm Crap. I love watching Lexi.

I don’t have any insider info, but she did post a photo on Instagram yesterday with a family member and she didn’t appear to have any type of brace or crutch situation going on, so I’m cautiously optimistic.Redwingtom wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 1:54 pmLeft knee. I saw that as well, but I think that may have been an old photo. Also, that photo seems to no longer be there.mbenecke wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 8:50 pmI don’t have any insider info, but she did post a photo on Instagram yesterday with a family member and she didn’t appear to have any type of brace or crutch situation going on, so I’m cautiously optimistic.Redwingtom wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 1:54 pmLeft knee. Does she have eligibility for next year? Sucks to lose someone like her.

She actually has 2 more years after this year. She’s been here 4 years now, but she’s essentially a sophomore in terms of eligibility.FalconRollAlong wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 4:49 pm Does she have eligibility for next year? Sucks to lose someone like her.
Her first season was 2020, which didn’t count because of COVID. And then she got hurt previously and missed a whole season, so she got a medical redshirt year for that.
Would love if she would return and continue to be the heartbeat of this program the next few years. Such a talented, tough player.

Re: BG @ #16 Indiana
Last home game I noticed that besides Lexi, three other Falcons had not dressed, namely Jasmine Fearne, Emily Siesel, and Abbie Riddle. Is there any info on the the status of any of these three other players? In Lexi’s absence, someone will have to step up besides Morgan Sharps to help move this team successfully through the MAC schedule. Hoping Erica Porter will step up her game as well. Good time for some non-starters to shine! GO FALCONS!

Re: BG @ #16 Indiana
I think it is possible that this nonconference schedule was a little to ambitious particularly after losing 4 starters. For whatever reason very few players saw the floor during a number of blowouts particularly against the 3 top 20 teams. Not saying that is why Lexi was injured but the starters have logged a lot of minutes over these games most of which have been on the road. We will see how they look against a bad CMU team. If it is close that will not bode well for the remainder of the season.
