Interesting note in PD analysis

The Browns spent some good coin to bring in Andruzzi & Coleman to solidify the offensive line. I think the most likely scenario, in terms of O-line, is late picks, a few possible UDFA and, perhaps, a late veteran signing.

Defensively, my current choice would be Pac-Man Jones. With Sean Jones coming back from an injury, the Browns would have a chance to create a dominant defensive backfield. The idea of two shutdown corners must be appealing to Crennel as a former defensive coordinator.

I'm really high on PacMan as well. I'd love to see him added to the defense.

With the contract offer that they just gave to Chester, I don't think that they'll be taking a RB at the #3 slot (a lot depends on if Baltimore matches).

Normally I'm against taking a QB at that point, but I'm really starting to think that its in the best interest of the Browns. They need to get a QB they can groom behind Dilfer (who has proven to be an excellent tutor). That QB will most definitely be drafted in this year's draft.

If Alex Smith is still available for the Browns I'd love to see him taken. The kid has all the physical tools you'd ever ask for in a QB, and he combines it with being incredibly intelligent. I'm not as high on Rogers, and if Smith is gone I'd wait until later in the draft for a QB.

It's a pretty interesting year for the Browns ,because there is nothing that seems like the hands down, definitive answer.

I love my brownies...but based on many of the decisions that have been made by whoever leads me to beleive that whoever they take will be a stupid pick!!!

I am sure they are going to give all us falcon fans a good solid kick in the pants and take Frye and then cut Josh....Its sad to say...but they make intelligent decisions like Amstutz watches his weight!!!

You do realize that the people who have made the decision for the past 5 years are now gone, correct? As GM they hired Ozzie's #1 scout & right hand man from Baltimore. He had a hand in drafting such names as Jamal Lewis, Jonathan Ogden, Ray Lewis, and Ed Reed among others (including Josh Harris)

As a coach they went out and hired a guy who has a superbowl ring for every finger on one of his hands. Crennel has been in NE and has seen first hand the RIGHT way to run an NFL franchise in this day & age.

Between these two minds I think the Browns are FINALLY going to be heading in the right direction. They finally have put together a front office that knows what it takes to win in the NFL, and so far the early indications are good with their moves in FA. For the first time since the return they've went out and signed two quality, starting guards that should shore up the middle of that OL, and they did so without breaking the bank.

So far I like what I'm seeing from this Browns, FO.
