Really tough to believe Loeffler isn't somewhat beloved by these players. We were told there would be a mass exodus last year. There wasn't. We lost some guys but some came back.

This year we have had a handful of guys leave, and certainly its frustrating but it hasn't been bad at all.

AND the offense got better, and there seems like a plan at QB.....and he is recruiting more offensive lineman.

Things are improving.

There's enough evidence the last two years with the portal that most G5 to P4 movement means you end up riding the bench. Some guys may be OK with the opportunity to make some scratch while in college, but you see a guy like Broden who only had like ten receptions in 2023, you really have to ask if the grass is truly greener.

Howell has me nervous as I’m afraid he’s one of the “1-2” guys SL said might leave. The other two on defense I’m anxiously waiting to hear from are Lorfils and Sipp. Our DB unit has taken a big hit with Huskey and Jones leaving. Sipp quietly put together a nice season as well. But Howell and Lorfils have me most concerned. Hope like hell they all come back.

I have gotten the impression that all three are returning based on their Twitter activity, but I’m guessing we’ll know by the end of the calendar year.

Why would that be a rule when they are allowed to return to their team? I am not saying i disagree or you are wrong but that is a dumb rule.

You can rescind a portal entry and go back to your former team (if they'll have you) but if your name is in, you're ineligible to play for anyone until signing a NLI.

Ivy League seniors were allowed to enter the portal early because they don't allow graduate students to play athletics. Anyone else could only enter the portal if there was a coaching change prior to December 4th.

I guess there is a difference between entering the portal officially and announcing you are transferring.

Be willing to bet the guys who announced their intent to transfer early probably didn't play much for their respective teams.

There have been a couple guys who are in the portal playing today. I am confused. JMU starting QB today.

Lorfils and Sipp both tweeted something about year 2 in the books. Seems like an odd thing to say when the season isn’t over with the bowl still on tap. I very well could be misreading the context of the tweet but it sounds like a chapter is closed to me.
