Commitment from grad transfer DB Ja’Corey Benjamin from Texas Southern. Has nice stats and seems like he’d slot in as a starter right away.

Hiliare has been invited to the College Gridiron Showcase in Ft. Worth.

Re: 2024 Offseason
I'm definitely disappointed that he left. He must have been looking for a place that he could be a feature back as opposed to the second option behind Stewart. Or, perhaps he was looking for a school with an academic program that best fit his interests.
It's probably the first one. It has to be EXTREMELY rare that a football player transfers for academic reasons.
ROLL ALONG!!!
Re: 2024 Offseason
Their top back only had 470 yards last year. Have to think part of the pitch was that he'd come in at #1 on the depth chart.footballguy51 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 08, 2024 2:26 pmI'm definitely disappointed that he left. Can’t be mad at a move like that. He performs there and he makes seven figures a season.

Ferguson has declared for the draft. He was out of eligibility anyways.

That's kind of the new thing to do when people are out of eligibility. I don't really get it, but hey, it's a social media world.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2024 9:42 am Ferguson has declared for the draft. He was out of eligibility anyways.

The NEW new thing is to do what Taulia Tagovailoa is doing. He’s out of eligibility (has played in games in 5 different seasons now) but he just hit the portal and is trying to get a waiver for another season from the NCAA because he “only” played in 5 games as a freshman at Alabam. He’s trying to get an NIL bag from Miami so they can market things based on he and his brother both being the QBs down there.BillyLP wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2024 10:42 amThat's kind of the new thing to do when people are out of eligibility. It’s pretty hilarious that this is what the best level of the best sport has become, but here we are.

Per Rhys Patrykus on Twitter:
“Merrimack transfer OL Nick Reimer announces his commitment to Bowling Green.
A first team all-NEC selection in 2023, Reimer has 36 career starts to his name and chose BGSU over offers from Buffalo, Marshall, Coastal Carolina, and Akron, among others.“
