I'm assuming they didn't figure out parking and there are a lot of long lines.
Parking was fine.

Only one concession stand on North end open. Waited in line 20 mins to be told they had no hot dogs or popcorn. Couldn't get $1 fountain Powerade since they want you to buy bottles. Replacement sprite had no syrup in it .

Now I'm like on South stand to hopefully get some food where I won't see any of the first half.

Total clusterfuck
Cincinnati Reds have something similar. All you can eat concession foods for a cheap price. It sounds great but they only have one concession area open and you're fighting with 1k people to get food. We missed the first five innings. I would've left earlier but the boys didn't want to leave sinve we had already waited so long. Never again.

That's a total dick move by the Reds to advertise that to the fans and only have one stand.

Okay, so what can we do about Spurgin's hair? He looks like the doc from Back to the Future.

I get a survey after every game. They will definitely hear about the disappointment in concessions.

Glad we made some adjustments at halftime to pull this one out. Need to improve the free throws and stop the straight line drives. Ugly win but 1-0

Awesome win in OT, 92-90.

I come out of that one extremely encouraged. Marcus Hill is an absolute dawg, and he takes coaching really well/steps up in the moment/asks questions. Love that.

The staff is also unbelievably good. Simon lets his assistants do a ton, and they all stay really calm in pressure situations. You can tell they have experience winning close games. Beyond impressed by their poise, and how it rubbed off on the team.

We’re not perfect, lots of stuff to work on, but man… I feel great about this program.

Hmm....I wonder if I have been getting them and just missing them. I'm not good about reading the stuff that goes to my promotions folder.

I guess gone are the days when we plan to eat dinner on dollar concessions. I was glad one of the ladies that delivers food to the floor seats handed the kids some free popcorn boxes in the 2nd half. The $1 size boxes that both concession stands claimed were gone in the first half (North Side before opening tip).

Waited in line for a total of 40ish minutes and missed the first 15:00 of the game (seemingly should be happy based on score) to get 3 sodas (the first 2 of which were plain soda water), and 3 hot dogs. What a cluster.

It's just really frustrating because ultimately there is no obligation to HAVE a $1 night. But when you advertise it, and it's historically been a happy time for my kid, it sucks when they ruin it.

Spot on. That game was awesome, props to Acuff for EMU who absolutely carried them. Hill and Agee are absolute dogs, ball moved much better in the second half and we lit it up. Nice to see a team that can score even when the 3 isn’t falling. At least with hockey in the crapper we’ve got an exciting basketball team

Need to have more concession stands open, that was ROUGH

Oh, and the concessions situation is crap.
Felt wasn't even dressed, was he? Thought he was still injured.

Marcus Hill is a superstar scorer. AND he had the big block to ice it. He & Agee are 2 of the most fun players we've had in awhile. High energy from Agee, insane body control and skill in attacking from Hill.

I can't tell if Hill struggles trying to do too much, or if it's simply too often we can't do anything unless he DOES try to do too much. At some point those guys sitting around the arc every possession have to start making some shots.

It's nice - REALLY nice - to have a coach capable of making adjustments to game plan / motivation / whatever at the half and win the second half consistently. Haven't had that in a VERY long time. If ever, really.

But, the way we have come out extremely flat a couple times in a row now concerns me. Something isn't clicking with how he gets them ready for the game.

Lots of good comments tonight. Very exciting basketball game, let’s hope people come back. The concessions were a total F up. Not enough help or food. How can you mess this up. Have a couple thousand boxes of popcorn boxed up ahead of time. Make enough hotdogs. Just bush league stuff that shows how poorly we plan. As a season ticket holder it’s great to see new faces at the game. It let me say again the second half was tremendous. But to advertise $1 night and be so unprepared is unexceptionable. One family sitting near by was in line for 35 minutes!

A great game with the usual terrible MAC officiating. Thankfully in the second half we started to make some free throws. This team really needs Towns back. But, credit to Simon and the 7 guys who played for gutting this win out. PJ Edwards is starting to show more confidence.

The concessions were completely predictable. The person who makes the schedule smartly times $1 night on a Tuesday with college students and local schools still on break. Meanwhile, the BGSU administration is still sleeping on break and can’t staff it or adapt from the usual posts of I’m too important to help. You can hire a new AD, that new AD can tweet all day. It doesn’t change a lazy culture of lifers. Spoiled culture who just showed up and watched the concourse be blocked with lines and did little to help.

You should have offered to help instead of stabbing a picture of Kit Hughes at home
