@ Ferris Wheel (2/2, 2/3)

Post by TalonsUpPuckDown »

It's telling when ol' TUPD has to be the one to start the game threads.

So yeah, we're off to Ferris this weekend. The Bulldogs have won 4 straight sweeping the Lakers (with an OT win) and the Viqueens (straight up) last weekend. We're only 2 points away from being DFL in this league so we need some combination of 3 points or better this weekend or this season REALLY goes into the sh!tter. I may try to make it to one of the games up there.

We get swept I'd say that would be grounds for a mid-season dismissal within the coaching staff.

Remember when they swept us in our own building in the playoffs last year?

Gut wrenching. I’m tired of the lack of success.

I saw that Phil didn't see his shadow.

I don't like complaining on here. I generally try to stay positive until I can't anymore. I just wanna win, man. Lol

I just saw Daniels' presser from earlier this week. They think they're gonna win.

Eigner's presser this week was a deep dive into Wood Lane Industries.

During the last Mankato series I found myself between periods at a urinal next to Kevin Piel. After going through the normal pleasantries one would exchange with a "famous" individual while taking a leak, I told him he should start asking Eigner tougher questions in these pressers given we were 61st in the pairwise at that point. Uhhhh, yeah. Maybe next week.

Maybe it's unclear, but what was Piel's response? I like the guy and think he does a nice job calling games for the most part. Genuinely curious his viewpoint.

In one word, noncommittal. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting a lot given the situation ;-)

They often open it up to Questions at the "Chalk Talks".

I have told my wife that I'm going to ask a question that's actually important and was told, " Don't you dare, we know too many people"

One of you may obtain a roommate if I ever ask a question at Chalk Talk........lol.

A battle of 2 of the bottom 6 teams in all of D1 college hockey, and we’re losing 2-0.

Not complaining. Not being negative. Just looking for a solution.

Their first goal was a good play. We pinched in the o-zone, puck came out 1-on-1, Kersten picked up the trailer but they made a nice pass. On the second goal, Pasanen wasn’t more than a pylon out there. Stein is giving up a ton of tasty rebounds.

We score on 1-of-2 breakaways. Stoever makes a huge save and they stuff the rebound. Still down two.

Shankula had a couple of really nice shifts.

4-3 WIN!

Schankula, Emerson, and Bevilacqua with 3rd period goals to erase a 1-3 deficit.
