MACtion hockey, baby! BG, Miami, Western, Ohio, force UMass out of HE if they go MAC all sports, then add some affiliates like Ferris, RMU, Mercyhurst, Niagara, Canisius, and/or RIT.

Fun read.

"CCHA conference" was a phrase written in that article. Dear god, what is the world coming to?

I would love nothing more than OU getting a program so we could bury them under the Slate twice a year. Have a good friend that went to school in Athens, and I would love enjoying some beers and watching our guys hang double digits on them.

Top 10 in less than 5 years is a bit of an over exaggeration. It's the age of the transfer portal. BG should back membership for them, which would greatly help their recruiting. 5 years in, I'd put them above Lindenwood and Long Island, slightly behind St Thomas and Augustana.

The current state of FBS is not sustainable. There is a major change coming. Not a stretch to think some schools will at least explore dropping the sport before another division is added.

I don't see it happening any time soon. Bird Arena would need a significant upgrade. Plus, it doesn't sound like the University is on board.

There supposedly is a sentiment at the nc$$ level to eliminate one-sport conferences . That may lead to the possibility of MAC hockey, and we could invite other schools (Ferris, etc.) to join.

Same writer also refers to that particular school in Oxford as "University of Miami".
Du hockey comme dans le temps!
