I don't doubt that in the least. A group collectively forgetting to shoot isn't exactly on the coach. It's not like they're not getting looks. THey just need to quit thinking and knock them down.

Up 1 with 11.0 to play. Tremendous comeback. Tremendous work on the glass and in the paint. As ugly and awful as that first half was (and it was) major props to the team for continuing to play defense, rebound, and get to the line when they couldn't throw it in the ocean. As awful as they were they never let CMU run away, and they kept being aggressive in the paint fouling out 3 chips.

Now let's see if we can make our free throws and steal a win.

Unreal banked 3 over Spurgin.

BG leads by 1 with 11 seconds left. Gonna have to cash in some free throws here.

Unreal. Good defense final 2 possessions and CMU ties it up...

Of course we didn’t cash in on free throws.

Overtime.

Our shooting remains a massive problem. Cant hit from three, can’t hit from the line. That stuff kills you, especially in close games.

Find a way…

Wild game. To nitpick it looked like the central guy tried to call timeout the last second

The inability to shoot at the line is why I never bought into the notion that this was a good shooting team struggling. Even if you're in slumps from beyond the arc, good shooters still make FTs. This team has always struggled at the line and been horrendous at the arc. We get to the line a s**t-ton, which is impressive, but we don't make them.

Those last two makes by CMU were unreal. Great defense, wild shots, both bank in. Big props to BG for fighting hard in the second half. Incredibly important to close this one out in OT.

He absolutely did. It was missed by officials.

Spurgin also elbowed the guy in the face on the call that put him to the line w/ 11.0

And we got the free possession and free throws for him getting an elbow earlier.

I'm not criticizing the officials in this one. We've benefitted a lot in the 2nd half.

And now all of a sudden our best finisher at the rim has missed like 3 straight layups :(

Hill has had a pretty awful game. Maybe his worst this season.

I've been fine with the free throws this game. 76% and Agee is punching way above his weight from the line. 3pt shooting is another story. I don't know how a team can go 1-16 from three these days.
