Anyone know when the last time was that Jerry York was in town for a game? Has he been back at all since he left?

Walked into a Subway for lunch, an elderly couple decked out in Rocket gear was sitting there eating. I proceeded to hassle them about the bouncy ball game last night. Made me feel a little better about 7-0.

Boston College played BG, in BG, a year or two after he left.

Scardina, Fyten, and Pasanen all announced during senior recognition that they will be back next season.

BG has got to play faster. Too good of a defensive team to take time on wristers from the point. Need more aggressiveness as well!

BG needs to stop being so tentative on puck battles. Just take possession and go. If only everyone had Quinn Emerson’s mentality

Time to fire Ty if we lose this one. Clearly getting out skated by a mid pack CCHA team

We stopped playing for 5 min and that was game. So frustrating. Another year, another one slips through our fingers. Sigh.

Gotta find a way to win 2 more just to match the win totals from the past 2 seasons. It’s an incredibly low bar, but man… embarrassing to not get there. Currently 13-18-1. After being 15-19-2. After being 15-19-3.

We haven’t won a single playoff series since 2020. We haven’t won a home playoff series since 2019. We can’t even get to a .500 record in 3 straight years now. We will likely be playing on the road in the playoffs despite playing in the worst conference in college hockey.

I love this program. I love the people in and around it. I love the atmosphere at games, and I believe that the Slate is a special place. I just want it to be better. Whatever we have to do to improve, I think we’ve gotta do it.

Probably should have focused less on Swankler and shoes.

Big game Ty strikes again.

1988 last piece of a Conference Title…..(CCHA playoff title)

Might be the most irrelevant program in the country that hasn’t played in Atlantic Hockey the last 30 years. Probably a toss up between BG and the Alaska schools.

Edit: RPI, Princeton, and Brown might be in conversation too

I will say, after sleeping on it, the spectacle of the night was fun. Had the chance to stand a few feet away from Jerry York, Iain Duncan, Mike Pikul, Eddie Powers, etc. Even just being around them felt big. Like you were a part of history.

Kudos to the department for the little details like featuring the LT logo and going “old school” with the scoreboard graphics and music for the evening. The night just felt special.
