Tough loss. Couldn't buy a bucket. Missed about a dozen open looks at the rim, and Miami got hot when it counted.

Officials were consistent on both ends, but the style favored Miami. Miami had more free-throw than us, and if we play them 10 times I guarantee we shoot more free throws than them the other 9. Tough, but refs just weren't handing out fouls at the rim.

Even tougher with Toledo, Akron and Central all losing, with OU and Miami getting wins. We Go from potentially getting the 3 seed, to now having to battle to hopefully get the 6.

When we settle for or take it a three, it’s about as good as getting a stop for the opponent because we just can’t make enough of them to justify even taking them anymore. BG is next to last in the MAC in making threes and last in the MAC at stopping them. It’s clearly our Achilles heel and we seem unable to fix it at this point.
I disagree. This new trend of taking 16 or less threes is far worse than the earlier season 30% nights but shooting 25+ of them.

The entire offensive philosophy is predicated on the perimeter. We have open looks all night long and now they're afraid to even attempt them. I don't care if they go out there and shoot 0-30, effing take the shots. Ever since that 7-33 Central game we've been passing up open threes every game, STILL shooting a horrible percentage when we do take them, and it's also destroying our ability to play inside. Hill passed up open mid-rangers all night long to dribble into the pack, and when I say pack it was completely normal to have 3-4 Miami players within a foot of the restricted area, ALL NIGHT LONG.

You simply can't play basketball this way. Hill & Agee are 2 of the best rim area finishers this program has had on the floor together since the Dakich heydays. Yet, the floor is so condensed they still can't score efficiently.

Spurgin, THomas, Humphrey, and Greer need to be out there catching and shooting every damned ball they see until their arms and legs hurt. IF they're not willing to shoot the 3s that are open for them find somebody else to play. I don't long for the Huger throw random players on the floor bullshit, but these guys have to start shooting again. IT only takes one 4 minute stretch of seeing a couple of them drop to start building confidence again.

At this point I’m not sure seed matters. Just hope for matchups with coaches too stubborn to play zone against us.

Yeah I didn't understand the constant driving into heavy traffic in the paint to get swatted or turned over. Not even considering kicking it out to the perimeter for an open shot.

Is there a history between these 2 teams? It was weird to see the Dean kid from Miami hit a 3 real early in the game and just turn to our bench, point, and say "BOOOOOM"., and then get T'd up . Then later in the game we do the same dumb thing.

The only history is that both programs have continually hired piss poor coaches that took both programs to the basement. If guys are firing shots at each others benches then maybe both programs are back from the toilet.

Disappointing loss...to say the least
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
