New Field Markings For The Doyt?

Post by Dayons_Den »

So as with my post in the hoops forum its time to come up with some off season fun new designs for our fields and uniforms. ..

I agree with a few on here that the endzone should be painted in again (ala early 1980s). Also, last season we used "Falcons" in the new font but the end zone looked bare. . .now that we have the new word marks lets put "Bowling Green" in the end zone. . .

As always your comments and suggestions are encouraged. . . I love making these things and if anyone has a suggestion on this or new avatars or wallapaper or whatever let me know. . . :D

That endzone design is much better. Hope they actually go with something like that for next season.

Sorry Dayons, but I don't like the green.

Now before we all argue that we can't color the field, it's not painted. The brown is the dirt. It is natural. They can't argue against it.

I believe after Boise, school colored sports turf is no longer allowed (unless of course it's green).

A little OT, butis there any discussion by the University about replacing the natural turf with the "Field Turf"?

Couldn't find any rule from the NCAA, but you could very well be right. All I'm asking for is Orange Numbers and an orange background in the endzones. Is that too much to ask?

This idea of emulating Boise State -- well, I'm on record as being against that.

But if there is no way out of it -- I'd make it brown.

I thought I heard the NCAA won't allow another colored field, and that Boise State's field is grandfathered in. Not sure about that one, though.

I'm curious what the end zone would look like brown and orange alternating diagonal stripes.... maybe fairly thick ones. (Use your judgment).

This came up in another thread.

DD....you really need to submit this to Krebs. That would look fantastic on gameday. And this is probably a dream, but imagine this.....the view of Cleveland Browns stadium painted up like that from the Spirit of Akron. That would be quite the marketing photo for the university!

Like I said, it wouldn't be painted. Dirt is natural ground so they can't argue that!!

Well you know it usually ends up looking like that by November anyway...
