Why i say this is because I've been to other college sports board/forums/fan pages, etc. and they've had encyclopedias full of pictures, info, sound bytes and other things about their team. I just think it could be better. Look at joshharris.com...it's still new, but it's got a lot of interesting facts, pictures and information pertaining to JH. That's how bgsusports.com should run. In my personal opinion it could be better.
In my personal opinion, it could be better too. And it WILL be better. Maybe even encyclopedia britannica better. But for the start I have had right now, researching, coding, typing, debugging, whatever primarily by myself, I'm damn happy with it. Also in my personal opinion, you REALLY need to learn some tact and when to shut your trap.

And I agree that joshharris.com looks fantastic, but its also all about how things are made available. Not saying its an easy task by any means, but do you realize the research and number crunching and re-writing from bits and pieces I did with some of the pages on there? I'm guessing you don't. Not in the least bit. And for that, you can kiss off.

And for the record, RUIT, they didn't call Jackie Motycka "The Natural" for nothing...

Look I'm saying that right now JH.com is better than bgsusports.com, but that doesn't mean I hate your site. I actually do like it but I know there's room for improvement and if you'd read my whole reply you'd have noticed that I agnowledged it's only brand-spankin' new so of course it won't be completed within a month. I'm totally not making fun of you or your site and if it came off like that i'm very sorry.

Buzzing around at the end of the day and come upon this thread and the other referenced thread. Here are my thoughts for what its worth....

I agree with what everyone (Dr. PGY, BGBill, UK, TG1996, Rightupinthere, and 1972) is saying. Maybe Golfer should start his own website or blog. Then whoever wants to read his wisdom can go there and be entertained.

BGSUsports.com is a nice site and I look forward to it growing in scope. Keep up the good work TG.

I would glad support the survior method - knowing I would be out by week 6

I keep reading this "I am home schooled" crap and all I think is how it ought to be outlawed. My kids go to one of the best catholic schools in the Dayton area and will attend one of the best rated high schools in the state. They easily have 1-2 hours of homework each night. My oldest son has been part of the ACT and SAT talent search the last two years (high terra nova's in Math and Science - 98 pctile - let him take the SAT and ACT in jr. high) and my kids are going to be compared to some fool who spend an hour being "schooled" then spending the rest of his time posting meaningless comments and watching Dr. Phil. It is outrageous.

I wonder if you are home schooled if the University flags your file as being a quesitonable applicant. Do they even have to take the state tests for high school students?

It's not what you say, it's how you say it. You came off as a complete jack***, Tech didn't. Maybe your parents should teach you better communication in your daily non-successful session of home schooling tomorrow. You could really benefit from it. Home schooling seems to be fun for the kids because they have time to sit online and post all day (aka not having a life), but to me they don't seem to get the proper exposure to the real world outside of their homes. Sure you can respond saying that I have a ton of posts, too, but I'm not posting 20 times a day. Not now, not ever. Day-by-day, the idea of you never getting accepted to BG is becoming a bigger wish for me.

I love this site, and I'm thankful for Grant and everything he's done to get it this far. Sure we are all Falcon fans and should be get along, but you are seriously the first Falcon fan on here I can no longer stand.

And please, when you respond with WTFs and crap, please do not post a reply, PM me, and IM me with the same exact sentence. That gets annoying, even more so from you.

What he said. And what McMetz said. You just don't get it.

Sad statement, Grant. Would it have helped if I mentioned Susie Cassell?

I'm not kidding... I'm sick of how people act on here anymore.... to the point where I think I'll just shut the forums down for a day or two....

I'm sorry for the way I responded to the original post. I was cranky that day and it really struck a nerve. Shoulda let it slide.

And it ALWAYS helps to mention Susie Cassell.... Always.
