I did not see the game either but according to the play by play she had foul trouble early.Picked up 2 in the first qtr and played just 4 minutes in the first half. Picked up her 3rd foul after 40 seconds of the third quarter and played just 2 minutes more that qtr. Then only played 3 minutes in the 4th and none in the last part of the game. Not sure if she was ill, injured or just playing poorly after the 3rd foul but her stat line was mainly a goose egg -- no points, one rebound, 3 fouls, and 2 Turnovers.

Two of the teams I currently dislike,, Toledo and Ball State are NOT in the finals. That's good. I'll always hate TSUN unless they're in a tournament against non-MAC foes and BSU will be on the list until Hampton is gone.

My theory on a coach sitting a key player due to early foul trouble……I feel that should depend on the flow of the game after she goes to the bench. If the coach benches that player and starts digging a deeper hole, then he needs to play her if she can help the team chip away at the deficit. I also believe sometimes sitting on the bench for extended minutes can motivate a player to “get the lead out”, so to speak. Unfortunately, the Falcons’ bench isn’t deep enough to compensate for Porter sitting on the bench. You never, ever sit a player down on the bench for over half the game, and expect them to help dig you out of a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter. If that player can help to keep the game close, you play them until they foul out. Just my opinion.
