Season ended exactly as it should. Defense sold out to stop Hill, made a nice kick out pass, wide open 3 that maybe didn't even catch iron? The scrambles were no good and down we go.

I didn't think we'd show that type of fight though without Agee. The way the first half ended we could have faded to oblivion.

Still a nice year. Re-recruit the top 4-5 guys and build around them.

Different result with Agee, no doubt. Fun season. Looking forward to seeing the roster develop.

Now the real season begins. Time to find some shooters in the portal. About 3 of them.

50 years of postseason tournament play and the win list read: St Francis (PA). If BG isn’t THE most irrelevant program in the nation, it’s certainly in a very small, select group as one of them. GD…

Yep, because a game vs IPFW in a tournament with 9 teams and no bracket would change the course of history. Yep, a win here would have taken it from 240th in relevancy to 236th. You are living in the 1990’s. GD go follow OU for good.

I think all we can say is this team plays with fight. The culture appears to be on the right track. If we had even one good three point shooter on this team it would be a completely different season. I feel like a Browns fan getting more excited about the off-season than the regular season but here we are. Praying we keep some key players and find 2-3 shooters.

Actually you love close losses, you only post after losses. We will see your doom and gloom later this week for portal defections and the inevitable posting of a transfer out in some nonsensical historical context.

I wonder if Fran Fraschilla watched the CIT last night. I bet he couldn’t stop thinking how Ohio would have fared in that game. I also bet he was running his postseason list of relevancy. Did IPFW really climb his list of relevancy, or do you factor in injuries? If so, they probably only climbed the list slightly.

After being asked a couple of questions about Agee’s injury, Simon said Rashaun has “3 or 4 MRIs” scheduled for various issues he’s been dealing with during the season. He said that Spurgin and Agee both were basically taped together by the end of the season.

Warrior culture. These guys wanted to win and gave everything.

He also talked about learning on the fly this year and addressing deficiencies.

He said they needed to address the roster and add some shooters. He said they need to adjust things in the weight room to prevent having as many injuries as they had. He also said that they have now established an expectation of winning, and they need to build on that.

Let’s do it.

Love to hear that sort of stuff. Where did you hear this interview? Radio coverage after the game?

If there was an article with this stuff, I didn't see it yet.

Him talking about adding talent to address shooters is interesting mostly in that we don't have open roster spots (that we know about) to do that. I don't ever like to hate on our current Falcons, but it's pretty clear to me that we need (and sounds like he expects) to have some kids move on. Hopefully he can work his tail off at re-recruiting the key contributors so we can actually build and not just replace.

Hill/Spurgin/Agee/Greer are the main 4 guys I really want to stay in the program. I think Humphrey can also play better than he did this year, so I'd like to see him stick. The rest can be pretty fluid, IMO.

McComb, Felt, Edwards, Greer would seem very possible to go. Next after that would be Thomas and Towns maybe calling it a college career. Total guesses on my part but that is how I read it.

I'd really like to see Towns come back, too. He really made an impact once he got healthy and having Spurgin, Agee and Towns gives us active size. I'd still like to see what Felt can do when healthy, also.

My guesses are McComb, DJ Smith and PJ Edwards for the portal. I could see Agee testing the waters to see if any P5 schools come calling. I think there are a few programs looking for a guy like him.

I agree on McComb, Greer. I can see DJ Smith too. That had to be tough with his injury and being so far from home. The incoming hype behind Greer indicates he [or his "team"] will be pushing to find a better fit [in his mind]. I think Simon will make an effort to keep him. Not as sure about Felt or Edwards. Edwards just transferred last off season and is now closer to home. But he may want more PT and would be willing to move again. Did Simon get to see Felt on the court in the summer with the team before the ACL? I would guess Simon would make a push to keep Felt if he thinks he can make a difference.
