Re: Offseason 2024
Anybody know anything about Braelon Green? We just signed him from Arizona State. He got 5 minutes a game for them. Was ranked around #156 in his class nationally, around #24 for shooting guards. 6'3" combo guard. We like his defense and finishing.... no mention of shooting and i cannot find HS stats.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Re: Offseason 2024
I know it is a little bit different this year than last since Simon had to get his staff aligned late but Edwards was the first player signed on April 25 the date of which we have not yet reached this year. Spurgin came the next day and Thomas the day after that. Humphrey signed on 5/1; Phillip on 5/10 and Hill the next day. A week later DJ Smith signed and Ejay was the last on 6/13. So likely there will be more movement as Power 5 moves are worked out but this year is not out of the ordinary.

Hope he plans on staying on staying on campus....I heard USC was in a real rough part of LA
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I guess I don’t understand. He’s going from being the focus of our offense to probably a role player off the bench. He’s good, but it’s an uphill battle to start at a school like USC.
ROLL ALONG!!!

I doubt it does anything to his chances at a pro career. That's going to be in Europe either way. But this way, he can get paid for balling in So cal fora year first.footballguy51 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 9:36 pm I guess I don’t understand. Hill to NC State
Re: Offseason 2024
USC and NC State are nothing to sneeze at. No hard feelings to either. Hopefully it’s a recruiting opportunity.

I don't think that was the best decision for him. That team was not good most of last year although I'm sure he'll be getting a nice deposit in his bank account

Re: Offseason 2024
That's a good mindset for us to have moving forward.
Sadly, it makes it hard to be truly excellent, ever.... but the entire league is getting drained of top talent every year. If we can show that OUR talent moves on to bigger, better things (with nice paydays attached), then we are more likely to get better players. Which will mean more guys going through the program for just 1 year. But that's just kind of the way it has to be right now. And this is what gives us a chance to finally win the danged MAC and get to the dance.

DJ Smith to the portal.
