Looks like Viggo Nordström signed with a team in Sweden and won’t be coming here.

Western has a schedule update, we're at Lawson on Thursday Oct 17 which is the Thursday before we head to RIT for that lone Saturday game. There is no return trip to the Slate.

Note that this game is not on the BG schedule (yet?).

Looks like Cole Moore is off to the Bruins development camp. I didn't see anyone else going, did I miss something?

Just saw that Potulny has been named head coach of the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack

Augustana has been granted full membership in the CCHA starting THIS UPCOMING SEASON. Highlights:

Standings will be based on "points percentage"
Top 8 in the standings make the playoffs

WTF? An absolutely stupid decision to be making right now. Recruiting is done for the season. Scheduling is done. 16 league games vs 26 for everybody else. It makes zero sense, other than making them eligible for the Automatic Qualifier. Would have been better to just kick St Thomas out at the end of the season.

I don't get it either. If you aren't kicking the Tommies out right now, it doesn't make much difference - if you do it after this season you'll still have 8 league members for next season. Speculation from the various message boards I follow:

o They want to make Augustana happy so they don't leave in the future (I say let 'em go)
o Augustana simply asked and we as a league said "sure, why not!"
o Adding Augustana makes it harder for the Tommies to win the league which would be a bad look for the league (mmmmmkaaaaayyyyyy)

Can someone explain to me the love Lucia has for this school? He has been drooling over these guys from the moment they announced they were fielding a D1 hockey team.

Lucia loves anything and everything Minnesota. He should be kicked out of the league.

McMahon blogged today that Eigner is the leading candidate to replace Shyiak as an assistant at St. Cloud.

That would be a fairly soft landing for Ty.

Summit? I don’t know, nothing about this move makes sense to me.
