Spezia is back with the Walleye - guessing GR didn't offer him an AHL contract.

Not a former player, but a former coach: Barry Schutte today was named the head coach of Ohio University’s ACHA team. I don’t know much about club hockey, but the program has won 4 national titles, so it seems like a decent gig.

Barry's a good guy. Best of luck to him.

Can't make this up. Lionel Mauron, Ohio University's coach being replaced by Schutte, is named an assistant coach at...... Miami University.

Cameron Wright signed a 1 year, two way contract with the Edmonton Oilers.

Sean Walker (Carolina) and Mark Friedman (Vancouver) are the only other two former BG players currently under NHL contract as players.

Josh Nodler signed with the Walleye today, due to two players being recalled by Grand Rapids.

Looking at rosters and schedules, the first BG players to face Fort Wayne this season will be Hawkins, Craggs, Kruse, Spezia, and now Nodler. November 8th, in Toledo.

Speaking of he whose name shall not be spoken, 2/1/3 in 2 games. In two games he's equaled his entire output at Tech last year.

Despite being totally screwed up in the head, the kid's got game.

Interesting, didn't know Ty caught on with CBJ.

For those that still may have a Flo subscription, tomorrow night Swankler goes up against Craggs/Kruse/Nodler/Spezia/Hawkins.

In the most Swankler-iest moves, he's not dressed for tonight's game...
