@Penn State (9/7)
Re: @Penn State (9/7)
I’m probably just arm chair quarterbacking here but they may want to cover #44. Letting him run free may not be the best strategy.

Great question!footballguy51 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 2:16 pm Not the response we needed. Coach has changed his play calling it seems and it’s not working. Why have we skipped the run?

Credit to Penn State for making some adjustments. The talent disparity is starting to show up.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: @Penn State (9/7)
Is there qb a 4.3 guy or are we just that slow?
Re: @Penn State (9/7)
Picked Allar off in the end zone!
Stupidly tried to return it and cost us by getting tackled at our own 5. But at least we kept them from scoring.

Great interception! How the hell do you bring that out of the end zone????
Re: @Penn State (9/7)
He was the #3 player in the country, #1 player in Ohio, and #1 QB in the 2022 class. He’d be the best athlete in the MAC by a country mile.
Our guys are playing hard, they’re just naturally not as big, fast, or strong as power conference guys. That’s the difference in a game like this. It’s incredible that it hasn’t been MORE apparent today, with the talent disparity.

We’ve got a handful of guys that are going to play in or at least sniff NFL games. It’s been a while since we’ve had that.mbenecke wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 2:26 pmHe was the #3 player in the country, #1 player in Ohio, and #1 QB in the 2022 class. It probably says a lot that we are hanging as tough as we are. I think we are getting tired as bonehead plays have started to show up now.mbenecke wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 2:26 pmHe was the #3 player in the country, #1 player in Ohio, and #1 QB in the 2022 class. Can’t be upset at all though about this overall effort.
Re: @Penn State (9/7)
Defense gets a stop. Nice play by Oladokun, secondary has been much better at times this week.
10:03 to play, BG ball at our own 19, PSU up 27-24.

Baze has been incredible today, but he just threw a brutal pick with 6 minutes left. Damn.

It hurts to beat yourself when you have played so hard against a superior opponent.
Great thing is the future looks bright for this season.

BG forces a punt and will have the ball at their own 15 yard line, down 27-24, with a drive to win the game.
5:09 to go.

Baze throws another pick. That was basically just an arm punt.
He played incredible today. I’m not going to crush him for anything late here.
