@Penn State (9/7)
Re: @Penn State (9/7)
Another victory is it appeared we got out of this game without a bunch of injuries like last year.

An amazing effort without arguably our best player! I’ve always been a fan of being in the top division and we’re going to win some of these games at times. I said it before the game, if healthy, I think this team beats Texas A&M!!
What a disciplined effort - so few penalties and while the interceptions hurt, overall smart football for 60 minutes. Coaching staff and players earn a lot of praise!

That strip on that punt that went out of bounds would’ve been huge.
Still, in til the last play against a perennial top 12 team is a good sign of how far BG has come.

Re: @Penn State (9/7)
What an awesome game we played...damn close and a few more plays needed to win a game like that. Only 3 penalties all day. Very proud of that effort. Anyone who has any beef with this game needs their head examined. Those were 4 and 5 star recruits against our mostly 2 and 3 star recruits. We played one of the best games I've every seen a SL team play. Bazelak did not revert to his "old self". PSU brought a lot more pressure in the 2nd half and forced him into a couple bad throws. IF he can be that consistent, wow, look out. So far, the jury is still out IMO. Our OL was stellar and all week we heard how good the PSU D was. Well, 375 total yards of offense, 120+ rushing & good numbers in the passing game against one of the best secondaries in the country. Fannon is simply a beast and how about Malcom Johnson Jr? He was great as well. The PSU run game did what it was supposed to do but our D held up decently well.
We need to bring that game EVERY week, no matter who is on the other side of the line. This could be a very special year if we show up every week like that.

Just listened to the coaches show. No question from Todd Walker about Stewart’s availability on Saturday.

Re: @Penn State (9/7)
My guess is they held him out because of the bye this week. Get two weeks rest up. No sense risking losing him for an extended period of time given all the other injuries on the roster.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: @Penn State (9/7)
The secrecy about his availability is strange. Gibby speculated that is was because of the backflip against Fordham. It would have been the biggest win in BG history, he could have made a difference. Resting him after just one game makes no sense.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 9:33 pmMy guess is they held him out because of the bye this week. Get two weeks rest up. Re: @Penn State (9/7)
He limped off after a tackle during the Fordham game. He had like a 15-25 yard run and then hobbled off the field after getting tackled funny. I'd imagine it has something to do with that - he finished the game, but it probably got sore once the in-game adrenaline wore off. I think it's a situation where he was a gametime decision and they decided to take it easy to make sure he's gonna be alright for MAC play, given his injury history.tiznow wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 6:26 amThe secrecy about his availability is strange. I'd imagine he will be available for A&M in 2 weeks.
