Aaaaaand we hold the line in the o-zone and Scars bangs it in. 4-4 with 11 min left.

Not sure how Norris’s hit, the hit from behind, and the other head contact hit aren’t official reviews. Did they change what should be officially reviewed to try to speed up the game?

Had a ton of chances to put it away but we’re heading to OT. Given that we were down 2 I’ll take it.

That was some defensive zone coverage from Mercyhurst. Three consecutive breakdowns.

Officials are God like and make no mistakes. Therefore, coaches MUST challenge anything the refs don't see with their own eyes.BGhockeyfan94 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 9:21 pm Not sure how Norris’s hit, the hit from behind, and the other head contact hit aren’t official reviews. It's absolutely stupid. They messed up the call on the hit Wozney took. Check from behind into the boards or net has been an automatic 5 minute major for years now. Call on the ice was a check from behind. There's no two minute option there. It's why so many officials call boarding and make coaches challenge for the checking from behind call. It should not have been a challenge from BG. The challenge should have come from Mercyhurst to change the call to a 2 minute boarding call. Of note, Mercyhurst had already used their timeout at that point.

Take the two wins. Great to see a comeback down 3-1. First time in six years hockey has started 2-0.

I'll be the first to admit down 3-1 heading to the 3rd, it was basically insurmountable. Willy may not have a legit scorer but sometimes having a TEAM that BELIEVES is larger then the sum of the parts.
Most exciting game in a long time in terms of comebacks.
I think we got something brewing in Falcon country.

This team forchecked the s**t out of Hurst. Lots of o-zone time, lots of quality chances. Defense was much improved—guys were picking up trailers, no one on the back side was left open, breakouts were clean. And they didn’t panic when down. And we rocked it on faceoffs. Good weekend.
