Has anyone looked at single game tickets for this year yet? The way things are priced is fascinating to me.

I'm only comparing GA tickets here, so the numbers are different for reserved seats, but you have WILDLY different prices for GA tickets depending on what game you are going to.

Like the opener against Ohio State is $22 for GA tickets plus a $3 fee for $25 per GA ticket. But the home games against NMU in December which won't have students on campus are only $8 per ticket with a $2 fee. I don't love the fees being different because they're really just gouging you (fees are BS for buying tickets online, period) but the fact that there is such a different feels like good business.

Flo just signed a multi-year deal to broadcast English versions of the SHL (Swedish Hockey League).

Freed up all that dough they were giving the CCHA schools and now they can afford everything else! ](*,)

It was a bad deal when it was announced, and it has only gotten worse. I still haven't subscribed yet, and I'm not 100% certain the level of commitment I am going to have to Midco. Makes it tough not to have it when we also fumbled the radio broadcasts, though.

Spoke with DVDM and a few players at the Slater open house. To a man everyone talked about how Willy has raised the intensity level. The players are all bought in.

Stavros said at this point in the season everyone likes their team. What a buzzkill.

I liked his response when asked about spending time watching last season's games. "Honestly, I didn't watch a thing." For a new head coach, I think that's a great approach. Everybody's starting fresh and earning every minute.

Martin article from The Blade. Really good read.

Looks like the NCAA is caving on the CHL players. Why spend resources fighting a battle you’re going to lose for a sport you don’t care two shits about.

Tough questions to answer. Feels like most of BG's natural rivals are in the B1G and Nacho now. Anyone we have perceived rivalries with inside the CCHA have a deeper primary rival. Kind of depressing.

My thoughts exactly. I went with OSU, Miami, Tech though I probably should have switched the first two. I didn't think anyone thought of us as their rival. Depressing ;-)
