NIU gets a FG on their first drive after it looked like BG had a strip sack (this broadcast has been extra rough, so no good replays were shown of that or the supposed defensive holding earlier in the drive), and the Huskies go ahead 3-0.

BG drives right down the field and scores on an 11 yard pass to Fannin. Falcons lead 7-3.

Let’s play this well once we get off script, eh?

What a treat to have Fannin to watch.

Great 4th down stop. QB draw, but we sniffed it out. Needed that.

Kleather’s 42 yard FG is right the whole way and we cannot capitalize on that momentum.

Of course, it came one play after the commentary team said “there’s no question he was holding, but they didn’t call it” in reference to the NIU defense. It’s insane how we NEVER get home cooking with these crappy MAC refs.

It’s absolutely bizarre.

You’d think they could at least make a mistake in our direction once in a while! It’s crazy. We never get lucky calls, we never get lucky bounces. So damn tiring.

I know it’s a dead horse but SL needs to give up play calling.

Actually, Max Warner has been calling plays dating back to at least last season, if not before that.

And then Baze displays his complete lack of awareness (good for 2 or 3 of those per game) by not feeling the rush and either having a fumble caught or throwing a pick. Either way, NIU got the ball right away at the BG 10.

Lol lol, maybe SL needs to take it back. He sure seems to do a lot of talking on the headset when they are on offense.

Thank you, I get torn up on here for Bazelak criticism. It feels like this team is so close yet so far away still.

Defense gets a stop and then blocks a FG! Still 7-3 Falcons.

Use this momentum and get points!

Quick three and out.

The failure to take advantage of things like that will keep our program mediocre. Until we can figure out a way to carry momentum forward, we won’t be more than a 7ish win middling MAC squad.

Hampton is done for the game. Backup is dual threat which means the defense is cooked.
