But then a Bazelak sack (he can’t move! Nobody can get open!) and a personal foul way after the play. At least it was offsetting, I guess. We should be compensated for watching this team every week.

It’s the middle of game 6 during year 6 of this coaching regime. How do we not know how to line up right? How can we still not block? How do we have no receivers worth a damn? It’s mind-boggling how mediocre we are this year, considering all the hope last season’s finish and this year’s start brought.
The defense is running out of gas. This looks like the middle of Loeffler’s tenure, where the defense plays well most of the game but they’re on the field the whole time because they offense can’t do anything, and then we lose because of that.
Offense will 100% wear this loss when it comes. They haven’t done a thing all game outside of the opening drive.

In that first drive Baze was on target and on time. After that he has either held the ball or been off target. Our O line is not good enough to carry us and the QB is too inconsistent to get us anywhere. Loeffler has a lot of flaws but his entire tenure has had lackluster QB and O line play. That’s just a recipe for mediocre at best.
NIU with multiple absurd holds on the TD, then the broadcast doesn’t even show live how NIU’s long snapper scored on the 2 point conversion. Everything about this game, program, and production is absurdly mediocre. Just bad, man.
And with Baze out of the game, they are stacking the box and daring us to throw it. And because we can’t, we’ll do nothing.
I’m as negative as I have been about this program as I have been in a long time. Probably since Jinks was here, to be honest. Thanks for rebuilding things, Scot, but it’s time we move on.
What sucks is that firing Loeffler almost certainly means a complete rebuild will need to happen again because of this portal era. Yeah we can also get guys, but I’m skeptical of building a team that way at this level of college football. We also have basically zero NIL opportunities to make us an attractive destination for good players. I just really don’t want to wait 3 more years to win football games again.
