Well then BG has no chance…mbenecke wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 1:51 pmLoeffler hasn’t been calling plays in at least 2 years now. Max Warner is calling plays on offense. The only reason I know this is because there was a video last year during the Ball State game where Loeffler was mic’d up, and you could hear him complimenting Warner’s playcalls throughout the game.TommyG wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 12:20 pm If you told me that Loeffler was giving up play calling, I’d say they got a shot to win 4 of the last 5. With him calling the plays I don’t see them winning more than 2 unless they get some crazy luck with injured opposing QBs like they did a couple years ago.
vs. Kent State (10/19)

Was happy to win but one thing I was very disappointed with is the fans. That crowd was absolutely flat except when the band played. They need to start handing out thunder sticks again or something, I’ve seen these folks a lot more into it at the Slate

The game production is awful compared to hockey games. Also, so is the product. Even when the hockey team is bad, the team is still exciting. This football team plays such a boring style, it’s hard to be energized by.
I share the frustrations you have. I wish BG filled the stadium and made it loud every week. I just think it’s pretty obvious why things are the way they are.

I wouldn't call most of the people in attendance on Saturday fans. A lot family (parents, siblings, etc.) who strictly used it as a social event and hardly paid attention to the game. I sit on the west side where a lot of GA ends up so was around a bunch of them during the game. They didn't care about the game, watched the band play, and then left at halftime. It was at least nice to see the stadium full, probably because Ohio State had a bye.mbenecke wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 4:30 pmThe game production is awful compared to hockey games. Attendance for the game was listed at 20,858 which is a season high. I know those numbers are usually fudged but someone worked really hard to get to that one
Re: vs. Kent State (10/19)
Wasn’t it high school band day? That brings a huge crowd. As does Family Weekend, which it was. And as does Senior Day, which it was.
When you only get 3 home Saturday games (disgusting) you have to make the most of it.

Both sides were pretty full, and to the eye it was a bigger in-stadium crowd than Homecoming was. Obviously we all know they use tickets sold rather than actual butts in the seats.

I could easily be wrong as I only somewhat watched from my couch. Homecoming seemed more full. However getting two games over 19k without toledo or a big opponent is always good
