These guys are young! Makes me feel even older.

By the way, does anyone know of a site that has updated photos of the completed renovations? I've found some out there but only one or two. Seems to me they should create a big spread of photos and/or video of the arena someplace on the BGSU website. If it's there now, I can't find it.

Not sure how much space is up there but would be really cool if they could make this an open-to-public bar to stream the away games.

Looks like Viggo Nordstrom is playing pro in Sweden. Too bad, he's got 12 points in 9 games and is Piteå HC's second leading scorer.

New commit: Forward Ilya Rogovsky. Russian national from the BCHL. Seems like a scorer - 28 goals and 30 assists (58 points) in 48 games last year. And he’s already 20, so I would imagine he’s coming in next year?

Signed with the Langley Rivermen on October 19th. Has 3 goals in 3 games since. Someone was watching for him.

Edit: Current teammate of another recruit, Luke Pfoh.

Stavros filled in for Willy this morning on the Morning Show. Said Willy and Curtis are on the road recruiting right now, he and Dylan hit the road Thursday. Thursday is the NCAA vote on eligibility of CHL players. Having a bye week this week and week after next could prove quite interesting.

I wonder if Willy can convince this kid to go to college. 14/13/27 in only 16 games and he's now eligible for NCAA play next year.

He'll probably be an early day two pick in the draft this year, so the NHL club might have a say as well. IMO, this is where the NCAA could really help out with these NHL clubs is offering the middle ground between CHL and pro. Every year there are a handful of guys that are too good for the CHL and can't be loaned to the AHL because of the CHL rules.

There was talk about recruiting on the Morning Show phone call today. Willy said it's an additional league to recruit. Still going to recruit the USHL, NAHL, BCHL, etc. The trickle-down affect is going to take some time to shake out. He also said it will be different to recruit in the CHL because teams have GMs and NHL involvement. He believes BG is doing it the right way by contacting the GMs and coaches of the kids they are interested in first, then making contact with the kid. St Thomas this weekend, then he's back on the road recruiting next week.

Our first WHL recruit!

Bowling Green has received a commitment from 2004-born recruit Tanner Scott. The forward out of Sherwood Park, Alberta has 13 points in 14 games for the WHLs Victoria Royals so far this season.
