vs. Ferris State (11/1-2)
vs. Ferris State (11/1-2)
This weekend, our Falcons (3-3-0) return to the Slater Family Ice Arena to take on the Ferris State Bulldogs.
Ferris is 2-4-0 so far this season, with a pair of ties vs. Miami, being swept decisively by Western Michigan, and then a pair of splits against St. Lawrence and Bemidji State. Being our first league series, this one seems like it’ll have some juice to it. Additionally, the new south end seating will be dedicated this weekend, so that will be a big deal.
Both games will begin at 7:07pm, and will be available to stream on Midco.
Get 6 points! Go Falcons!

Reminder that due to the Lucia Pets being an official part of the league now, points don't matter. Which is stupid. Very stupid. We want 1.000 on the weekend. Which I guess is six points? Kinda/maybe? I don't know anymore, the executive leadership of this league sucks balls.
I effing hate this points percentage BS. What a crock of s**t.

Apparently, we don't get to watch press conferences in a timely fashion anymore? Last Wednesday's want posted until Saturday, and Saturday's post game still hasn't been posted.
Anyways, from the Tuesday call to the Morning Show BG, Willy said he was fairly happy with the past weekend, except the lack of goals. Said that part is frustrating, difficult to improve quickly, and not surprising at this point. He really liked the play of the 15, 23, 18 line, and they are still practicing together this week.

It sucks that this is a thing. I've long said even the NCHC teams would struggle to run away if they had to play the full CCHA schedule, and here they're letting Augustana play 2/3rds of one in year 2. Internally, I'm wondering what happened first, St Thomas to the NCHC, or this Augy decision. Perhaps Augy was in talks with the NCHC and the CCHA did this to appease them, only to have St Thomas jump instead?TalonsUpPuckDown wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 9:19 am Reminder that due to the Lucia Pets being an official part of the league now, points don't matter. I'm with you, these things are coming pretty inconsistently, and that's frustrating when the team's level of coverage is already pretty scarce. That needs to be better.pdt1081 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 12:02 pmPosted 22 hours ago.... on Tuesday.TalonsUpPuckDown wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 10:30 amSaturday's postgame presser: https://youtu.be/KsAGPiBadzY

I could understand if there was some editing involved with multiple cameras and microphones. But it's one camera that doesn't move, and one microphone. Rarely are you able to hear the question being asked. They could save some steps by just live streaming it from their phone.

1-0 good guys after 1. We’re killing it in the faceoffs. They had a couple good chances but Moore came up big. Lots of time spent in the Ferris end. Keep it going.

Still 1-0 after 2. It’s a battle of offensive juggernauts.

That was an ugly game. But it’s a win.

Re: vs. Ferris State (11/1-2)
I wouldn’t say that. Really pushed tempo and were flying there in the first. Ferris was successful and grinding it down a bit there in the second and third but could not generate hardly anything on offense. I’m pretty impressed at the development of this group, the power play is miles better than last years disaster. This team seems to lack a true sniper, that hurts the overall attack a bit
