BTW... first post here. Glad to finally be on board.

I hate weeknight games. Kudos to DVDM for throwing everything but the kitchen sink to fill the stadium.

More prizes for students:

-$1,000 scholarship
-win a dinner for you and 5 friends at the University House with President Rodgers and his wife

The winners of all of these prizes are being announced in the 4th quarter, too, so you have to stay to be eligible. I really appreciate how hard they are pushing this game, and I hope students show up and take advantage.

The lead-up to this game feels very much like the lead-up to the NIU game for me. Unfortunately, that game went extremely poorly for BG. BG's gotta get this win to stay in the MACC race. This is a HUGE game and a win would be a massive boost to getting back to Detroit.

NIU had a big front that has given everyone problems. BG matches up with WMU very well, especially in the pass game where I think Bazelak can have some success tomorrow. If BG can slow down the Broncos rushing attack, they have a good chance of winning.

BG struck a sponsorship deal with Greenbriar that will include their logo/name being on the 25-yard lines at the Doyt. It’ll make its debut tomorrow.

I always wondered where my move out “penalty” money went. Guess I know now

Big one tomorrow. Limiting the WMU run game will be key, offensively they’ll probably be able to get theirs a bit. Key is going to be taking advantage of western’s porous defense and controlling the clock to keep their offense on the sideline. I feel better about this game than I did NIU, it’s time for the boys to deliver a big time home win. Let’s go!

Even more prizes. For these, EVERYONE that comes to the game is eligible to win:

-4 courtside seats to a men’s or women’s basketball game

-4 Anderson Club tickets to a men’s or women&/ basketball game against Toledo

-A signed football helmet

-6 hockey suite tickets for the Saturday, November 30 home game against Michigan Tech

They’re really pushing this thing hard. Hoping for a better than normal Tuesday night crowd for this game. We have to find a way to win it.

Hell yeah dude! Finally got approved on this site lol. Have been checking in here for years without being able to post

Huge huge game tonight. Definitely feels like a classic Loeffler let down game, but that’s just pessimism talking. We 100% SHOULD be able to do whatever we want on offense against WMU. BGSU wins 42-28

Seems like the board got some much needed energy injected into it with the new posters. Welcome aboard!

I see this one falling into the same category that most games are in: Run the ball with success and stop the other guy's running game. Or, at least we need to control the WMU run game. They have a couple very good backs. They'll get their yards but what we can't let them do is march down the field on long drives, wearing down our D and keeping our O on the sidelines where they can't get a rhythm going. WMU is tough to stop because their running game is potent but if you stack the LOS, they have an accurate QB that can hurt you off run fakes. Gonna be a big challenge for our defense.

The WMU defense has not been strong, but neither has our run game. If we get into that pattern of hand it to Terion on every first down when the Broncos know it's coming, stack the line and swarm him in the backfield, then take him out on 2nd and 12 where the defense knows a pass is coming and they take away Fannin, we are going to be in trouble. They need to break tendencies so they are not so predictable and put drives together to keep our defense off the field enough to keep them from getting worn down by the WMU run game.

And then there's always turnovers. I believe we are +1 on the season and WMU is +5. We can't afford to be on the short end of the turnover category.

Big games at the Doyt don't usually seem to work out for BG in recent years. Like I said, we need to break tendencies tonight.

This game is now being advertised as a Black Out, and the athletic department is asking fans to wear black to the Doyt on Tuesday.
I'm starting to wonder with this game being called a "Black Out" if it actually means BG might finally come out in all black alternate uniforms tonight (helmet, jersey and pants)? Many schools across the country have done it over the years including a number of MAC schools, but BG has yet to do it. I usually see a tweet about our game day threads the day or two before a game and didn't see one this week (unless I just missed it). If they purposely didn't do one, that would further make me think they might be springing a black out combo tonight. I know some on here wouldn't be in favorite of it, but I think it would be very cool, especially the way orange pops off of black. I made an alternate BG football helmet for my helmet collection at home with a black shell and it looks sweet with the orange and white BG logos on it. I loved the grey and orange uniforms BG broke out for a couple games a decade ago. I like having fun and mixing it up a little bit. Anyway, the black out talk and lack on a tweet on our game day threads just had me wondering if we could actually see it happen tonight. We shall see....
GO BG!!!
