This is the worst combo imo. The all orange or the orange/brown/orange is wayyyy better

This game is now being advertised as a Black Out, and the athletic department is asking fans to wear black to the Doyt on Tuesday.

I'm starting to wonder with this game being called a "Black Out" if it actually means BG might finally come out in all black alternate uniforms tonight (helmet, jersey and pants)? Many schools across the country have done it over the years including a number of MAC schools, but BG has yet to do it. I usually see a tweet about our game day threads the day or two before a game and didn't see one this week (unless I just missed it). If they purposely didn't do one, that would further make me think they might be springing a black out combo tonight. I know some on here wouldn't be in favorite of it, but I think it would be very cool, especially the way orange pops off of black. I made an alternate BG football helmet for my helmet collection at home with a black shell and it looks sweet with the orange and white BG logos on it. I loved the grey and orange uniforms BG broke out for a couple games a decade ago. I like having fun and mixing it up a little bit. Anyway, the black out talk and lack on a tweet on our game day threads just had me wondering if we could actually see it happen tonight. We shall see....

I'm with you as one of the few BG fans that actually likes the black look as an alternate, but they will not be doing a black uniform for any sport anymore, according to the Falcon Fanatics instagram account. They said in a comment (which speculated like you are now, about potential black uniforms) that any new uniform ordered after last school year is only allowed to be orange, brown, or white. This seems like a department-wide decision DVDM has made with input from the alumni/donors that have a say.

Also, you did miss this week's uniform announcement, as they are wearing white helmets with an orange jersey and orange pants.

I kind of cannot believe we haven't worn the new brown jersey yet this year. I get that they are pushing the orange hard after not wearing it for about 5 years, but having a new uniform and not using it all season feels wild.
