As we reach the end of the season we’ll start seeing the trickle up until the portal opens next week. The first one for BG is WR Jaylon Tillman. Transferred in from GVSU and showed flashes of talent but hasn’t been on the roster since October.

Absolutely. I'm sure he'd make a nice bag in NIL, but he's not a QB. He's not going to be making those reported $10m type NIL deals. Probably not even a $1m.

Even if he slides down to the 4th round he'll be handed a $4-5m contract for the next 4 yrs. No, it's not guaranteed but most picks that high are a virtual roster lock for at least 2-3 years to figure it out and make some cash.

Good point. A historically slow development position where teams are even more likely to hold onto their draft picks. And other teams likely to scoop them up if they do get let go.

Also plenty of teams living in heavy 12 personnel enough that there are plenty of TE opportunities.

I don't think we'll see the same number of players transferring out this year given the roster attrition of graduating seniors. There will be plenty of positions on the two-deep up for grabs. I do expect the staff to go heavily after WRs and maybe a QB with Orth not taking a medical redshirt.

Is it confirmed that Orth did not take a medical redshirt? I heard he is entering the portal after the season and will look for somewhere to play his last year of college football.

I was told he wasn't taking it, but perhaps he is but not staying at BG. Regardless I was told he's not returning next year.

I’m not surprised but I’m disappointed. He would have been a shoo-in first teamer next year. I’m guessing he’ll have several Big Ten teams after him.
