I didn’t even realize 4 has another year of eligibility. Would be sweet if he came back, but that room is in good shape regardless.
Lots of opportunities next year for guys currently on the roster to fill holes, or for the staff to bring in guys from the portal. It’s absolutely possible for us to remain one of the best teams in the MAC despite this turnover, but it’s going to take some serious work either recruiting or developing guys that have never really contributed here.
Replacing QB, HB, star TE (most likely), majority of WR, and most of the two-deep on defense next year. Good chance we see the mettle of the coaching staff.

Good luck to him. He gave us some great years and actually stayed for four. Hope he gets a bag.
Where it made complete sense for Fannin to stay and be the focal point of the offense, It makes so much sense for Stewart to leave and get to be a complimentary piece to an offense with great blocking. He has a chance to be a superstar if a power 5 gives him the focus he deserves.

Hopefully returning 3 starters on the OL....that's a good place to start. And Smith @ WR
Having 6 home games (instead of 5) is really nice. And we don’t have a Penn State or a Michigan in the schedule this year. Yeah, there’s a lot of roster turnover, but I think it’s fair to still expect to win 6+ games with this schedule and with the ability to plug holes in the transfer portal. If we want to win, we have ways to do it. I think it’s the perfect opportunity to see what Loeffler can do in a year that is perceived to be a down year. If he’s able to get us to a 4th straight bowl, I will be happy with that.
Loeffler mentioned this afternoon that they'll be dipping into the portal a bit deeper than usual this year with all the attrition. They're also likely not done adding high school kids.

We’ll get there. I’m pretty sure the portal doesn’t even technically open until next Monday.
But a large chunk of our roster this year is guys who are graduating and out of eligibility, so there are going to be a lot of opportunities here for guys if they stick around. I’m thinking maybe there will be a good bit of guys who stay and compete in the spring and THEN hit the portal if it seems like they aren’t going to get on the field here.
