vs. Morgan State (12/7)

Post by mbenecke »

On Saturday, December 7, our Falcons (3-5) return home for another non conference contest, this time against the Morgan State Bears (4-6). The game will begin at 2:00pm and while it hasn’t officially been posted anywhere, my assumption is that it will be available to stream on ESPN+.

It’s about time we string some wins together, so let’s get this one. Go Falcons!

This will be a good opportunity for a get-me-right game. Morgan state isn’t Taylor by any means but this should be a game we win. Hopefully they aren’t bellarmine in disguise.

Simon on coaches show said that we were down to 9 players and that a manager had to play. He didn't say for sure but it sounded like that might be it going forward.......

Yikes....that's not ideal. Simon has historically used pretty tight rotations of 8-9 guys at SUU, which is fine, but obviously Towns/YoYo are guys he wanted to be in that rotation.

Also bummed if Humphrey can't go. He wasn't a front liner, but always seemed to do well with his minutes, and he's a damned nice kid.

What is up with Alijah Adem and Mohammed Maxamud. AA had a huge family tragedy, and that's all I know. MM hasn't gotten off the bench but looked impressive on his yt reels.

Just an FYI he elaborated later....Yoyo back soon, Towns and Humphrey not so soon.

Followup from what was posted in the other thread Maxamud is no longer on the roster.

Have to figure the intent is to redshirt both Adem & Pardon, but if either of them could actually contribute that plan could change I suppose.

Problem is I don't think either play a spot/role we really need them yet. We need more 6'7+ guys at this point.

BG is up 25-11 at the under 12 timeout in the first half. Strong start so far.

Easy 102-81 win. Nice to see some of the rotation players get minutes since I couldn't watch the tournament

Butler won’t be coming off the bench when the rest of the roster gets healthy. He can heat up quick. Nice blowout win.

Butler had a game! Wish I was able to watch. Is this the game he needed to get on track?

Nice win today. Butler had himself a day and is getting better with each game. Week between games should help get guys some rest, @ UMKC and vs St Thomas should provide good MM tests for this group.
