Daeqwon Plowden
Daeqwon got called up to Atlanta this morning. He went off in his NBA debut. I’m sad I couldn’t watch the game. 7 of 8 shooting, 5 of 6 from three, netting 19 points in 25 minutes.

Had a feeling he could be a role player in the NBA. He was a special player here - I would contend that he was a top 2-3 player of the Huger era, after Justin Turner? We had some really good talents, so I'm open to debate, but he would be up there on my list.

He was (IMO) definitely the 2nd best player of the Huger era here, and always had the most pro potential. (Although I think Dylan Frye is still rocking it out overseas as well). The only real bummer for his career is he wasn't capable of carrying the team his final year here. That sort of role just wasn't in his makeup. The team wasn't good with some pretty bad guard play; asking him to carry the load offensively his efficiency dipped quite a bit.mbenecke wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 12:24 pm Had a feeling he could be a role player in the NBA. I was also very impressed that he stuck around to coach the youth camp the summer after his senior season (he was working out for the draft). He was great with kids, all around good dude. I think my son has his autograph on a ball, but he's been using the ball so the autographs are pretty faded by now.
Once Daeqwon showed he could develop into a legit 3 point weapon, with his size/athleticism I've always felt he had NBA 3&D potential. He's had a nice run in the GLeague, so happy to see him get the callup and ball out.

Not enough to warrant a threat but Richaun Holmes is playing the whole game and playing pretty well against the Cavs right now. Wizards only have 9 active players tonight.
