Hasn’t even completed 50% of his passes in 2 seasons.
Stanford fans aren't exactly upset to see him leave. Feels like a reclamation project. Between he and Anderson have a feeling the offense will look very different in 2025.
SL is the coach still...I'm thinking it won't look that different
I thnk Kitna will get a chance
He'd be the first non-transfer QB to start for BG since Loeffler took over.
This fall is year 7 of the Loeffler era.
Didnt Anderson get a start this year?
I'll clarify and mention that I meant "start" as in operating as the season-long starter, not starting a single standalone game. I know Grant Loy obviously got some starts as a high school guy (who later transffered out to Auburn). I know Cam Orth also has gotten at least some run as the starter against Mississippi State and then Michigan the past 2 years before this season.
But when I think of the Loeffler era, I think of primarily transfer guys under center. That's always who it has been in the QB battles out of camp, even if guys end up coming in later.
2019 - Darius Wade (remember that name/story?)
2020-2022 - Matt McDonald
2023-2024 - Connor Bazelak
It never worked out for guys like Owen Bainbridge, Tucker Melton, Riley Keller, etc. Super weird, because those guys were solid recruits.
That said, I expect the starting QB next year will be Lucian Anderson (breaking this trend) unless they roll with Justin Lamson.
