If that O'Hara penalty is the definition of a slash, the penalty box would never empty. Absolutely brutal call made even worse when O'Hara got legit tripped after coming out of the box and going to the net.

Definitely annoying to drop a point. However, when you look around the league, results basically went our way.

Mankato lost, so we keep pace with the top of the CCHA - though St. Thomas is certainly pushing hard to make it into the top 4.

Lake Superior lost, so that helps in the home ice race. Same with Bemidji losing.

Also, I think it’s important to note that tonight’s win was the 13th of the season, which ties our win total from each of the previous 2 seasons in a row. And it’s only January 31. Whole lot of hockey left to play, so let’s get 3 on Saturday night and keep it rolling.

Annoying is an understatement. The number of points we've given away to the bottom feeders of the league is mind numbing. Let's get three tonight.

First media timeout. BG with a disallowed goal due to a high stick, followed up by a good goal by Grant. All on the same powerplay, before allowing a shot on goal.

On another note, the BG production crew needs tied to a chair and forced to watch this TV production. By far the best in the CCHA.

Even worse, made Willy use his coach's challenge. Ref was out of position to see it. That doesn't need a challenge. That's an official's review. It's almost as if 4 more skaters stepped on the ice for Northern after Oulette was chased.

Stoever takes an awkward puck to the leg and has to be carried off the ice. Not ideal.

And Moore comes off the bench cold and immediately gives up a goal.

It’s 4-2.

This game isn’t done yet…

Gave up a 5-6 goal right after the Stoever injury. Stood strong at the end when Northern pulled their goaltender again. And added the empty net goal. Good to get out of that one with a win!

That’s a 5-2 Falcon win to finish off a 5 point weekend on the road.

14 wins on the season passes both of the past 2 seasons win totals. That feels good. Keep pushing, BG!

Massive series against St. Thomas at home next weekend.
