What a fun game that was! Felt like a whole different team tonight. Relentless on the forecheck, felt like any time they had the puck we were on top of them and get the puck back easily.
And then the scrappiness was also entertaining

Bring back the glory!

Extremely low standard for a 5 minute major. There's a reason the game got really chippy after that.

That's what would make it even better. You know that moment lives on in his head, and to be reminded by a bunch of kids that couldn't even wipe their own ass at the time...

We outplayed them for 60 min. Stinks Moore didn’t get the shut out.
We passed Stoever in the concourse on the way out. He says one more week.

That was probably the best Moore has looked all season.TalonsUpPuckDown wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2025 3:18 am We outplayed them for 60 min. Stinks Moore didn’t get the shut out.

Now up to 15 wins on the season, most since we were 15-19-2 in the 2022-2023 season.

Re: vs. St. Thomas (2/7-8)
Just sitting here on a Saturday morning thinking about how terrible this home schedule has been for fans this year.
Conflicts by home game:
10/26 vs. Ohio State - no band (they were at football in Toledo)
11/1 vs. Ferris
11/2 vs. Ferris
11/29 vs. Tech - no band, no students (Thanksgiving break)
11/30 vs. Tech - no band, no students (Thanksgiving break)
12/13 vs. NMU - no band, no students (Christmas break)
12/14 vs. NMU - no band, no students (Christmas break)
12/29 vs. RIT - no band, no students (Christmas break)
1/10 vs. Bemidji - no band, no students (Christmas break)
1/11 vs. Bemidji - no band, no students (Christmas break)
1/24 vs. Augustana
1/25 vs. Augustana
2/7 vs. St. Thomas
2/8 vs. St. Thomas
2/28 vs. LSSU - no band, no students (Spring break)
3/1 vs. LSSU - no band, no students (Spring break)
3/7 CCHA Round 1 - no band, no students (Spring break)
3/8 CCHA Round 1 - no band, no students (Spring break)
3/9 CCHA Round 1 - no band, no students (Spring break)
Only 6 of the 19 home games were normal games with both a band and students on campus. That is absolutely absurd. It’s February 8, and tonight is the last game with students on campus unless we are hosting in the CCHA semifinals. I really hope whoever is in charge of scheduling moving forward takes the academic calendar into account and makes sure we have more games with students in the building. The atmosphere is completely different without those folks in attendance. And I know there was a game or two when there was a local HS band, which is a great experience for them, but it isn’t the same.

Re: vs. St. Thomas (2/7-8)
Willy has been very critical of the schedule during press conferences this season. Especially having only 4 games the entire month of November. He's mentioned that he's used to playing 3 in 5s and 5 in 7s. Couple times he's even said something about mixing in some Tuesday or Wednesday games. Whether serious or not remains to be seen. He'd rather the players play than take an entire weekend off. Reason they're playing the U18 team next week.mbenecke wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2025 1:09 pm Just sitting here on a Saturday morning thinking about how terrible this home schedule has been for fans this year.

LOL mbenecke, I did the very same analysis back in December and arrived at the same conclusion.

Same lineup as last night. We will see if Korodiuk or Ozar gets the extra skater spot.
