Northern Illinois, which was 5-25 and 1-16 in the MAC and hadn’t won a road game all year, goes to CMU and wins.

Falcons are heading to Cleveland.

I can’t believe it. That final basket by NIU was a complete fluke.

I watched the end of regulation and the ot's after our game ended, as I'm sure many of you did. Because of injuries and guys fouling out, Northern's lineup in the overtimes included two guys who played a combined 20 minutes all year. One guy had played in two games and scored zero points, and he had four pts vs CMU. The other guy played in five games, all in non conference play. He had scored 5 points all year, but they were all against non-DI teams. He had seven pts v CMU. And then they win when a pass goes into the basket.

Now, because of it, we're going to go beat Akron

I'm glad this was the last time I will see Lobsinger of WMU.

Between that and a game winning pass I'm still in complete disbelief. Going 8-10 and the way we played down the stretch I'm so happy for our guys to be going to Cleveland even if it is against Akron

Lost in all of this, how terrible was the call to give Western Michigan the final free throws? Let them play. Just a horrible call in that situation with the player driving nowhere.

MAC officiating at its finest.

He dribbled the ball off of his leg. He was out of control, going nowhere and the refs bailed him out.

This x100

That call was awful.

Actually the entire last 2-3:00 it was clear the refs assumed we were trying to foul and every ticky tack thing was called a foul. Maybe wasn't the worst thing in the world with us being so far from the penalty but really felt like we were simply trying to defend.

Still we had plenty of opportunities to get the lead and couldn't get a bucket down the stretch. Not the officials fault but the last call was definitely questionable.
